I donated fairly early on, and haven't received any calls, emails chiefly begging for money or texts. Guess once you've paid up they cross you off the mailing list.

Slightly off topic, how good is David Evans.

Puts considerable money where his mouth is, casually pulls together a Hird and Bomber led coaching team, doesn’t have a fat ****ing head, doesn’t feel the need to give his opinion on every issue facing the game, and 95% of non Essendon members wouldn’t know him if they saw him in the street.

Seriously not sure what more you could want in a pres. Great Essendon man.

As for the flight plan, maybe I don't get it as bad because I'm in the US?

I see the Flight Plan as a symbol of Essendon's commitment to being a success. If we are to move forward, we'll need the facilities to do so.

Donate if you want to or can afford to, or don't. If you don't want to read the emails or texts asking you to donate, delete them.

What a pointless thread. Why doesn't the OP just call the club and ask them to scrub his name off the mailing list if it makes him so angry?

Better yet why not just donate $50 to the club that has, no doubt given him a lot of joy over the years, which will also result in him being scrubbed off the mailing list.
