I'm convinced Allikat has disappeared off the face of the Earth. I haven't seen her post anywhere in about 2 months which is very unlike her.
I'M ALIVE!!! Sorry, I've been stupid busy with sisters weddings, and work being campaigners, and cheersquad drama, so when I've been on I've pretty much just been doing modding :(

Nomming Bernard Fanning/Powderfinger always a risk IMO. I actually don't mind Powderfinger (though I'm a bit over them), but his solo stuff is pretty me. .
Powderfinger have always annoyed me. I remember them from the beginning and saw them a few times when they were 2nd or 3rd on the bill behind well established - and better - bands. Not once when I saw them did I think they were great and would be as big as they became. They were tight but always thought the songwriting wasn't very strong. Pick you up did nothing for me and I couldnthink understand why people were raving about it..

Then they pop up on the Two Hands soundtrack with These Days and suddenly everything they released went massive. When I first heard My Happiness I thought it was very weak but suddenly it's winning the hottest 100. Boggles the mind.

So many better band I saw back in those days and it pisses me off a little that they went mainly undiscovered but Powderfinger made it due to one song on a movie soundtrack.

I felt the same way about Powderfinger after they released Double Allergic and the Internationalist, they were just an OK band with a few decent songs but there was nothing really great about them. Odyssey Number Five changed my opinion of them though, that was a great album without the filler they had on their previous albums, ironically My Happiness was probably my least favourite song on that album. They went back to being pretty average again after that album though.
