Previous noms must've turned people off Jeremy or I Don't like Mondays.
Surprised at the lack of Nick Cave - every song off Murder Ballads would have qualified and there are some gems on that album - O'Malley's Bar is genius.
Nommed this initially - anyone know it?
Would have made it like Crime and Punishment if they were all nommed.

48 of your 65 noms (74%)!! were by artists who hadn't been nommed!!!
10 by artists who'd been nommed once before.
1 by artists who'd been nommed twice
6 (9%) by artists who'd been nommed 3 times or more.

Your stats are a bit skewed cos there are a few bands you've nommed multiple times that nobody else has.
Brand New
The Last Shadow Puppets
White Rabbits
and Faith No MOre who you nommed 5 times after one other person had.
Funny you should add these stats then BN & FNM get nommed by others this round!

Some punk rock classics from the 70's

The Adverts - Gary Gilmore's Eyes
Gary Gilmore killed 2 people in Utah in 1976 and he became the first person in ten years to be executed in the USA after he demanded that he receive the death penalty.

Ramones - You're Gonna Kill That Girl

Radio Birdman - Murder City Nights
Radio Birdman and The Saints were 2 of the most shamefully overlooked Australian bands ever. They were both ahead of the punk curve in 1976/77. They were just as good as the Ramones and the Buzzcocks. But nobody cared about them because they weren't from New York or London and they didn't look "punk" enough.

People in the local media & record industry were clueless gits (coke addicts, probably) who had no interest in the amazing Australian underground/ pub rock scene from 1976-1985 and gave zero support to many of our greatest bands.

5 votes without even listening to all the songs, eh?
How do you know it wasn't the last song I listened to? :p
Wasn't quite but some songs/bands are just that good.

And according to the header, botes were due before the noms were released! Pre-instant boting required!!

This song came to mind when I was thinking of noms, probably would have been a Billy contender, Jazny might have given it botes though.

I don't mind that one at all. Another case for sound files though - song is ruined by the massive knobness on display in the vid.
