My best from quarter time,

5. Tsatas
4. Hately
3. Visentini
2. Sellers
1. Laverde / Smartt

takes us to a big win and nice % booster. Can't remember a time we dismantled a team like this in the VFL. Apart from really ordinary teams. Was nice. ill do a player review shortly but thought the VFL guys stood once again, even the new guys like McKay, Gallagher and Brodie had moments worth mentioning

Gerryn looking the goods early on.

Does he project as a forward/ruck long term or a pure ruck?
Worked with a guy who knows him well - reckons as a forward who gets around the ground is when he plays his best, likes to be involved. Probably needs a good couple of years to build his tank to do it at the highest level.

Some quick thoughts from watching live.

Tsatas was very good as you would expect as far as winning the football and clearances. He was our best player. We know he can find the football in close. Just has to get to the stage where he can mix it up a bit and use the handball along with having the ability to break out of stoppage with a bit of power. Kicked a great goal from a forward stoppage. Kicking is what it is.

Vigo rucked well against Ladhams. Even contest.

Gerry continues to do a few good things each week

Davey. Needs to be more physical.

Laverde okay.

Want to watch the replay before going in depth

Kayle for his age is outlier in terms of size and from there I am guessing ability to hold position in ruck contests so I think the Nankervis comparison isn't unfair. Not sure what his reach is like though, his arms don't look long but bulk can create that impression.

FWIW, Nominal "bests" according to Play HQ which comes from coaches

Elijah Tsatas, Jayden Laverde, Xavier O'Neil, Oskar Smart, Jayden Nguyen, Kieran Gallagher

Bit of a holding period, great overlap and sees the spot up kick taken by Gerryn 35m out, 45 degree angle

Behind to finish off the third quarter

Essendon 11.8.74
Sydney 2.11.23

Apparently swans kicked first two of the game and then its all been Essendon on the run way

Tsatas (31), Laverde (27), O'Neill (18), Foley (18) leading all comers

Sellers (2), Gerryn (2), Elijah (1), Smart (1), O'Neill (1), Hately (1), Guelfi (1), ADJ (1), Clarke (1) as goal kickers
Tsatas our leading possession winner and we're smashing them?

set the agenda early but a MASSIVE Saturday night Dreamtime at the Melbourne Cricket Ground Kinetic Stadium, Frankston

Seems Darcy Parish is likely to come back through this one, Jade Gresham a chance to play in this but more likely in the AFL as an indigenous representative for the EFC

The Tigers (10th, 4 wins, 3 losses) are on a similar level to us (12th, 3 wins, 3 losses). Always enjoy watching VFL guys and the Tigers VFL factory have a small handful of guys to keep an eye on for MSD chances.

Sam Toner, Tom McCarthy, Massimo Raso, Harry Scott all doing really well in that side
