"Don't touch Porpy, he's a little bit sore." Fair comment. Injured players should have a 3m radius to all sides, then "disgracefully inhumane" acts such as these can never ever ever occur again. Run along now.

So now the sanctimonious Crows are the judge of what constitutes a fair tackle. Makes sense.

No mate. Its about respect.

I have no quams at all with a player testing out Porps shoulder one on one perhaps at the start of the game. Giving him a few bumps, completely fair. If he cant handle that then he shouldnt have played.

If your players lined him up with a few solid bumps whilst he was near the ball or had the ball, again I would have no problem with that at all.

Put the way your players in Thornton and Browne went about 'testing' out Porps shoulder was completely stupid.

I play football, and I can honestly say I have never seen anyone do that before (as in purposely trying to reinjure a player way off the ball in the manner Thornton did). That includes local league, SANFL and AFL. Was a pathetic act IMO.

It figures really, watch an Adelaide game and listen to the crowd squark time and time again at free kicks that are not there, it's these same footy uneducated nuffies that post absolute dribble here.

Anyway, good luck to Porps, gun player.

So you didn't see Steven Kretiuk trying to reinjure Matty Lloyd's finger/hand a few seasons ago at the Telstra Dome, in Lloyd's first game back from injury? Not in a marking contest, mind you, it was in what looked like a very one-sided game of knuckles, whenever the ball was down the other end. You also never saw Robbie Flower constantly having his dodgy shoulders tested out by the opposition back in the '80s? This has been going on for years.

I am sure Neil Craig would want the Crows' players to do a similar thing if the 'shoe was on the other foot'. If you think otherwise you are totally kidding yourself.

Ease up turbo.

Its a case of

dislocated shoulder-will hope self respecting teams wont target off the play- if is reinjured in the course of play will cop it on the chin and rest him for the year.

Now which highly respected club...

You cross the line you're 100% fit. There are no beg pardons or let up's in a game of AFL mate.

Going by your logic if a team has 5 injured players who can't play on, then the opposition should take one of theirs off so as to not "target" and "exploit" their injured players!

Yeah that is true mate, I had a friend with me and his kids there as well. I did talk to the cops but the guys who did it had pissed off by the time I got the cops there.

I'll be honest, I don't believe you.

people have been saying this shit for years, and there is never any evidence. no one does anything, there is never any police reports - not even the retaliation; and hell lets be honest - it's a game of footy; it's not a club bias thing - but no one else ever sees them.

it wouldn't matter who it was, but supporters from both sides wouldn't stand by and let this sort of thing go on as often, and incident free as it seems to be reported.

we have plenty of moron fans, as do you, but really, this?

the head of the police was on the radio talking about this a few years ago, and made the point that were never any reports despite all these rumours.

look, maybe you are the unlucky one that it really happened to. the unlucky one, who really stood by while some sub-human feral did this, who really didn't take up with the police, or who happened to be in the vicinity of a 100 indecent people who stood by and watched; or maybe you were someone who thought a nice urban myth needed a walk in the park?

this gets a run so often without any truth to it, forgive the scepticism. I sincerely hope it's the former, and it is not true.

What's your dumbarse medical department doing letting an "already injured player" out on the ground anyway, you whining shit-for-brains?

ouch...BURN

Funny, Carlton rough him up and we've lost all respect (thought we'd already lost it ) but Brisbane do it to Riewoltd and it's fair game because they were a champion side

just because noone sees it doesnt mean it didnt happen. Broke up a fight between some nutters on the weekend. Plenty of morons at any game, plenty of opportunity for incidents

After getting spat on by their supporters on the weekend and some of the comments on their boards I don't pity them. I should have kicked the **** out of the idiots who spat on me and my friends kids. Lucky my friend stopped me and we had the kids with us. ****ing scum bags the lot of them, now for them to come on here and say that Ratts/Browne and Carlton meant to do something horrible to Propy is a the last ****ing straw.

haha.

Your honestly saying you went to footy park and you got spat on.

Its funny right, I've been going to AAMI stadium my whole life. And the only time I have ever seen a fight was at a SANFL game. I've never seen anyone spat on, nor any fights at an AFL game.

Its also funny how everyone claims our supporters are all knitting grannies yet we start fights and spit on people. lol.

When Blighty came to our club he instilled a new culture, dont do anything to fire up the other team. As in no showing off or targetting players. This has generally be abided by most of our players.

Craigey came to our club when Blighty did, and he has carried on with this. You ask most commentators of the game, or players even and they say the hardest, yet fair team is Adelaide.

How did our team respond to what your players did to Porps, there wasn't a huge fight, we just lifted. We played football. The same thing happened against Port.

If the foot was on the other boot our players would have 'tested' the player in question's shoulder out. But in a fair manner, as in when the ball was close to the player of if they had the ball.

Thornton pushed Porplyzia. How the F was that deliberately trying to injure a player?

Tell me. What was Thornton trying to do then?

The intention to push him into Browne was their, he was trying to rough up his shoulder.

What do you think Thornton was trying to do? Perhaps push him off the line of the ball so he was first to the ball, who the hell knows.

You tell me, that in a split second, Thornton could have thought:

I'll push Porplyzia into Browne, hurt him, and we'll get him off the ground.

If you believe that, or any variation of that, you are deluded. Watch any game of footy, any, and you will see players jossling (sp?) for position. That's all that happened on Saturday.

And finally, if this incident was so serious, why wasn't there a report made? There are 3 field umpires on the ground, plus the emergency, who wouldn't have been that far away from the action.

He wasn't even near the ball. Porps was running into our forward line, and Thornton pushed him into an oncoming Browne (who had left his opponent Mackay to roam free up ahead into our forward line)

You tell me, that in a split second, Thornton could have thought:

Well prior incidents would tell us yes, he was probably trying to hurt Porps. Hurt in the sense that he was trying to roughen up Porps shoulder.

No I don't think I am deluded at all. Infact I think what Browne received was way to harsh. I think Thornton deserved to get weeks.

What Thornton did was not jossling at all

As for why it wasn't reported, maybe because it was way off the ball?

Did the whole of Adelaide not listen in class when they explained the purpose of the skull? Or did Thornton and Browne have it so pre-meditated that they knew they would catch the skull on a break?

Wow still cut up about the loss?

At least you've moved on from those bloody cheating umps that cost you the game.

Seriously, I thought you guys would be used to losing by now but to do all this after losing to a better team is so sad.

Now I know what Collingwood fans are talking about :o

So if I walk down the street and push someone into an oncoming car and they die, can i say to the judge 'I only meant to break their ankle, please let me off'.

(Except in this case its the driver who is doing the time (Browne))

Thornton purposely pushed Porps into Browne to try and roughen up his shoulder, things went wrong and your players MUST wear the conseqences of their actions.

Your medical staff let an player risk further injury to his already injured shoulder so they could get four premiership points. They MUST face the consequences of their selfish and stupid decision.

Ah yeah ok mate. This would be about the 20th time in a couple of years that the opposition supporter has said "we got spat on" Not only do all the opposition fans get spat on but apparently they also get beer bottles thrown at them, which is funny considering beer is served in plastic cups.

I have not seen one spitting incident in the time I've been going to AAMI. Not even at showdowns! I've only seen one fight and that was outside the stadium & across the road.

If you seriously did get spat on (which I doubt) then that is a disgrace and why wouldn't you be going to the police or doing something about it to get him banned for life?

Actually, Porps dislocates his shoulder an average of once every fortnight. It will keep dislocating until he goes under the knife. He has told the medical staff that it's not affecting his game and he can play on for the sake of the team and undergo the surgery at seasons end (or maybe even now considering he's out for a month)

Selfless decision by Porps to help his team.

Oh ofcourse. Lets not let your players face up to the fact it was an off field incident which resulted in him getting knocked out and dislocating his shoulder

lets blame the medicos

Ladies and Bickleys, some news for you all. It's a contact sport. So stop jerking off in your pie floaters and have yourselves a nice big

We know it's contact sport mate. We do very well at contested footy which is why we've beaten Carlton twice this year.
