5th? really? thqat is suprising. love cookie and macca, they have heart, they are hardened and more importantly loyal to the jumper. unfortunately though im not sure i could find either in my side. i know cookie was great on the weekend, and mcmanus has had a pretty good year. there comes a time where the youth must be blooded. there wont be a dry eye in the house when they retire though

Your side would lose to my side because I would have both of them.

Who knows, I can't recall him ever being played as a small forward. Hes not a bad one on one mark and we know his defensive pressure is great. I personally found it refreshing to see a forward attack the goals instead of handballing around for someone in a better position only to lend up losing possession which happens with monotonous regularity.
If he plays as a forward we have the flexibility of him being able to move into the middle if need be, Hase, Bell and Cookie rotating out of the forward pocket sounds pretty good to me.:thumbsu:

Hallelujah Brother. :thumbsu:

Just have a fricken shot sometimes FFS.....

I've got a bad feeling Cookie will be the emergency this week. I've heard a few times that our midfield coach doesn't rate him (Broadbridge is it?).

Pistol's right - Cookies only played two games hasn't he and we've given him votes in both. And was it a coincidence that we went on a nine game winning streak when he came back in the team last year?

*shakes head* When will they learn?

Coaching staff know a lot more than us mate. He has played well because he has been rested other weeks and can come in and give it 110%. Would he be as effective if he played every week? He is getting old and has lost a yard of pace and agility.

Part of Connolly's problem is finding a replacement for Farmer, another distraction he does not need when he has to come up with a plan to counter Brisbane forward Jonathan Brown.
"He is arguably the best player in the AFL," Connolly said of Brown.
"You could put something forward that Jonathan Brown, given the role he plays in the team, he is one of the great players in the competition."
Luke McPharlin is likely to get first crack at Brown, with Antoni Grover an alternate.
Veteran Troy Cook will again be given the responsibility of having a Farmer-type impact in the forward line. :thumbsu:

Looks like Cookie is playing. :thumbsu:

Yeah possibly. I'd still be inclined to play him every week, form permitting. He really does provide us with a hardness that even guys like Macca don't match.

I humbly apologise to the match committee. Guess that makes Gilmore odds on to be emergency then. They better not drop Webster - he's probably the second hardest bloke in the team IMO.
