Diablo, you're right, no atheist should propose that we ban silly beliefs. When someone believes in something though, they generally believe in it for a reason though, as though they are spurned on by some argument or something they believes gives them legitimacy, and generally people when they believe, act as if it is knowledge. I know I get frustrated at people (and myself for doing this) when they don't have any real good reasoning behind their arguments. No atheist says you should be thrown into prison for having faith, but that it should be displayed for what it is, faith, not reason. Considering theists are a good sport usually, often jump at the chance to debate atheists and often provide their own proofs for god, which then surely can be allowed to be picked apart, I doubt they can cry foul too much.
