Doogs' Droogs

Apart from my disappoinment at seeing Doogs compared to such false messiahs as Jesus (short, hairy and unpopular with the ladies), I don't understand this ruse of not naming Doogs in the team. Are they afraid of the facilities not being able to handle the impending hordes of Hawks, Dogs, Droogs and the plain curious?
Please tell me they won't subject Doogs to another week at Werribee or that they are building him up for the fall. Our saviour can only take so much.
Let our Doogs roam free. Let him teach Buddy about love, burst a plague of Boyle's and cure Jarryd's Rough Rough Head.

At the MCG
There was Billy Graham
There was Pope John Paul II
Now let Doogs teach us all what it means to be truly religious.
Sunday is the NEW holy day.

Droogland have you seen THE smother?

TempleDroog31

On a slightly serious note. This is exactly what i never understood about West Coast fans and Doogs. They say he has a pea-heart and doesn't go in hard. But even down at Werribee he can't be accused of being weak at all. I think its just because he looks like a pretty boy. This smother just reinforces my point that he does do the hard stuff as well.

Sadly, no. I miss 2 game FTA Sundays.

Doogs frustrated us Eagles fans. He'd kick a bag of 4, then go missing the next week. He'd muscle Mal Michael off the ball, then look soft in the next contest against a much smaller opponent. He copped more criticism than he deserved from some fans, but for others he was marked fairly for what he produced. Only peanut Eagles fans wish him failure at the Dogs.

The commentators were suitably impressed on Fox Sports yesterday.
"Smother of the year" I think was one of the calls.

Did anyone see Doogs kick late in the last quarter from the back pocket that made the wing easily. Other than Gilbee it was the best long kick I have seen from our guys this year. I know that its something insignificant to get excited about, but I imagined him 50 out kicking for goal and the ball sailing thru at 2/3rds goal post high......

Hopefully this will be a reality next year.

What an amazing smoother, greatest act by a Bulldog ever.

While Doogs didn't have much of it himself (6 kicks, 3 handballs 4 marks), he kept Boyle to 1 kick, 4 handballs, 1 mark with no scoring shots.

I can't remember that kick. But does anyone remember the kick when he was at half back and kicked 50 meters to hit Everitt on the chest in the forward line? Everitt played on and missed. But what a kick!

I don't remember the other one but I was just about to post about this one. Amazing kick :thumbsu: I was impressed by Andrejs' composure not to give it to Aker and have a go himself, even though he missed, good signs all round. If they drop Doogs this week I am no longer a Bulldogs supporter. He has been in our top 6 the last 2 games he's played for us. In fact I might go down to training and ask Rocket to name 6 players better than him.

I remember another instance in the game where he was at around centre half back and he spot someone up from inside the 50 arc. Nobody expected it, and the crowd loved it.

Geez he was impressive, Tim Boyle is no push over and Doogs gave him a bath. And what about that smother? Just had greatness written all over it.

Doogs for Prime Minister.

At the risk of being completely ostrisised by the Droogs, while Mcdougall gave Boyle the mother of all baths, he did have 7 clangers from his 9 possesions.

Yea, but the 2 that hit the targets.....well they speak for themselves:D.

He did blaze away a few times, and one he received the shittiest of handballs while he was basically getting tackled and he kicked it along the ground. But I'm sure this is just another example of the Doogs conspiracy, even the statisticians are in on it.

How impressive has Doogs been against Melbourne and Hawthorn?

Really, really promising signs.
