At the risk of being completely ostrisised by the Droogs, while Mcdougall gave Boyle the mother of all baths, he did have 7 clangers from his 9 possesions.

How are clangers counted?

Does it mean that a kick or handball didnt go to a teammate?

Geez its a bit rough, what about situations when you receive the ball whilst under the pump and dont have a proper chance to dispose of the ball.

If thats the case it is no wonder Westie as so many clangers !!

Clangers are disposals that lead directly to a turnover or free kicks against. A kick to a 50-50 is not a clanger, even if the other mob wins the ball.

Looked good today, and thankyou Channel 7 for finally doing something right in broadcasting a Doogs fixture, though a game two teams are trying to lose would have also been interesting.

Those Droogs at the match would have been spared the inept commentators discussing where Doogs is best suited in the Bulldogs lineup. 'Didn't he play mostly as a defender at West Coast?' 'No, Tim, he did not'. Watson evidently puts as much effort into research as Caro.

If I had the technical knowhow and the predilection I would capture, upload and embed into this post Doogs' sensational 55m goal via youtube.

Doogs was good today. He should become a third tall defender, he seems comfortable in the role and his goal was excellent. Good work Doogs.

Surely it was 70m out ;)

Doogs game yesterday and THAT goal will keep me warm all summer long.

On a more serious note though you could see Doogs confidence growing as the game went on. He started to make himself available in running ball out of defence and that goal was a terrific goal which showed how much skill and talent he has that can be utilised if he keeps working hard. Unlike say an Adam Morgan (no disrespect) who could work hard all day long and all season long and still not be able to kick a goal from that far out.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned this yet.

Anyone see Doogs trying to rough up the Kanga player before the match? Absolutely classic. Doogs lined up for the biggest hip and shoulder and the other player just stepped to the side and Doogs fell flat on the ground. In this before the game even started!

Imagine being on the end of a Doogs hip and shoulder. I'm glad he didn't get him, you serve hard time for killing people.

Can someone get some Doogs highlights on here? THAT smoother, THAT goal, the man is a human highlight reel!

I also urge the moderators to create an Andrew McDougall board. Doogs is the best thing at the club atm and this thread is the best thing on the board. Make it happen moderators!

I thought he did fairly well, seemed composed when he had the ball. Got outmuscled a few times, but who didnt. some good second efforts.

however when he kicked his goal we were 50-60 points down and being pumped and the rest of the team at least had the decency to look crapped out about it, but doogs was all big smiles and high 5s.

clearly he is pretty happy to just be playing and team success so much of a big deal for him. its like he thnks its just a game - some kind of sport.
