Hey nothing personal, it's just while you have been gone we won 2 games, a VFL final and Hurley re-signed. We all agreed you were the jinx, well I agreed, the others just sorta looked at me weird.

Oh, I know.

I was very aware of this. I was in Barcelona, in an absolute hotbox of a bedroom at 7am (seriously, a windowless bedroom in a Spanish summer is not pleasant), when both the Hurley news and the GC win happened, two days apart I think. I almost logged on to celebrate, but then I decided to go and search for some breakfast pintxos instead. Can you blame me?

And with the Carlton win, it was morning in Dublin and I actually managed to talk to Harlequin in the game's closing stages via another medium, but further interaction was rendered undesirable by the size of the stout hangover I was nursing. Not surprising considering basically every beer I drunk in Ireland was a stout of one stripe or another!

Cheers, yodell. You know how you're fond of stouts that can be eaten with a knife and fork? I had many overseas. Especially in Ireland. ;)
