Its been removed now that valve made make data private default. It was about who you beat i think, if your team's average is 1200 and you beat a team full of players ranked 2000, then your rank sky rockets up to 2000. If you beat low ranked players then your rating doesnt move, lose and you drop. Sort of like ELO rankings.

Only way to check now is to go into Dota 2. Watch tab > Recent Games > Add your name to Filter and select between normal, high, Vhigh. Gives a rough estimate of the skill level your playing against.

Only just started playing this in the last month or so. Had mates that used to play DotA years ago but I never got into it. Coming from a long way back but it's quite fun. Still struggle if I random, Luna is probably my safe hero that I go if I don't know what to do. Feel free to add me if anyone wants a game/wants to help me at any point. My ID is in the steam thread I believe.
I'm a reasonably good player (in terms of public games anyway). Funnily enough Luna is probably my best hero. I play pretty well as most carry heroes, and I'm a reasonable support too.

Cracked it and switched over to here from LOL. The whinging D/C 14yr old yanks have shit me up the wall. Snakeman086, played a couple of games against bots. Bit overwhelming to start off with
