The only thing this game requires is good team work and skill.

Everything from counter picks, to counter jungling and ganking, everything requires skill.

Everyone has access to the same items, champions, runes and masteries, the only thing that separates the good from the bad is skill.

Now if you did that against teams such as CLG TSM M5 etc then yes I'd agree with you, but to make such a hard judgement off the back of playing in same third rate tournament is bizarre.

I dont get how your point is an argument to what I said, but what ever. As with all fanboys (I dont particular prefer HoN over DotA/LoL or what ever) there is no point in talking with you.

First time im going to be playing a dota game ever Im quite nervous to be honest . One of my friends sent me a beta key, so hopefully Ill enjoy it. Ive always been a fan of VALVE so hopefully this doesnt disappoint

had my key for months but never got round too it since there were no bot matches.

started playing tonight with fgmpr, god damn this game is unforgiving for new people. still had a ball and wow games go for an hour each.

So i finally got my head around it after 2-4 games of it. Pretty much exactly the same as the original dota, doesnt seem like to be any major changes so far and I did enjoy it. The delay in this game has thrown my timing off completely though (guess im still too used to on BA)

Play on SEA. If your ping is under 150 on SEA it feels extremely responsive, much better than the majority of BA games. The delay on West is disgusting.

The International 2 is starting in a few days with $1 million once again up for grabs for the best team and a few hundred thousand for the runner ups. I predict release date to be announced (the game already is complete, but there just aren't enough servers seeing as they are all hosted by valve and dota 2 is now the most popular game on steam).

I've sunk a few hundred wins into this game and I'm loving it more now than ever. It's great when you get to play against some of the well-known players from Oceania and SEA although with so many players I get that opportunity less and less.

i had around 10 games played, absolutely loved it having never played a dota game before.

if anyone wants to add me on steam and give me some lessons that'd be much appreciated. i normally just go with drowranger, she's pretty good at killing the other team.

When I get my computer up and running I'll add you on my new-new "play with new players" account. Was finding my original ones were matching them in the high skill level bracket even if they hadn't played before.

cheers woopedazz. The game felt so much better on SEA, there were no form of spikes/delay . There are still a few things that I need to get my head around (Item's icons, hero models, builds, etc) but the game itself is still the fun game I remember back on BA days, except that there are a lot less trolls now

Good to hear SEA fixed your troubles. The players there are generally more competent, less abusive and more selfless from my experience over the course of the beta; even if delay wasn't an issue I'd still be on SEA.

It's also pretty funny when I'm playing and someone recognises my name as the dick who banned their BA account Normally they are older and more mature and have a good laugh about it. Run into lots of familiar faces. Brings back memories!

Haven't played dota 2 for a few months (went back to HoN), but I might get back into it soon. Any news on Aussie servers? I played mostly on the SEA servers, and while there was no delay for me, the population of players on those servers were extremely frustrating. Mind you, most of them didn't speak English.

Damn, aussie servers would pretty much seal the deal for a lot of people. HoN finally got it right with introducing aussie matchmaking.

If you lot are still playing in about 30 minutes I'm keen to hop on for a game. I'll add you guys on steam.
