....... is a basic concept you would think? If bigfooty is anything to go by then maybe it isn't.

I just read a post claiming that a certain sub culture among us do not look for fights anymore. I think the point the poster was trying to make was that this sub culture is now dedicated to making money from the amphetamine trade. Whereas before dealing in drugs, they looked for fights. Now they don't invite unnecessary police attention by fighting.

"they don't go looking for fights no more" is a direct quote from the post in question. Those who went to the grade 3 English class on double negatives, know that this actually means they do look for fights.

This happens in real life too. Infact I had to correct our Comms manager at work just the other day.

Such a simple concept that should be second nature to everyone with an IQ above 50....

Surely you'd be smart enough to be able to work out what was meant? If so, the communication process has been successfully completed. If not, who are you to call anyone dumb?

That's what I thought.

We don't got no *object* would be a double negative, but I don't think no more really qualifies.
 
Wait...you created a new thread solely to point out something minor and inconsequential grammar-wise, even though the meaning was still obviously clear and easy to understand...simply to make out as if you are somehow of superior intelligence but have failed to impress anyone at all because as usual, they see through your idiocy?

And,
