Hey Jerome!! Please don't encourage Matt like that! as much as I like Aidan Parker (he let me sit on his lap so he gets bonus points :D :D) Matt shouldn't get his number put on a guernsey! He needs to aim higher a bit more "long term" LOL - my understanding is that Dogga may have followed Fitzy!

k
xx

The only long term Panthers at AFC are Goodwin, Torney and Parker if selected.

Bicks is gone and Clarke and Smart are year by year gigs.

Kangaroos are really keen on him. They tried really hard to get him last year but we held onto him. If he goes to Kangaroos, Watts could be part of the deal. Macca23, Kangaroos have a couple of good young ruckman in Hale and McIntosh but I would be VERY surprised if they traded him.

If Corey Mckernan becomes and Roo and with Spider Burton retiring I think the Kangas will hold onto Hale and McIntosh.

Watts could be a goer - http://kangaroosfc.com.au/default.asp?pg=players&spg=playerprofile&personid=13368

I wouldn't hold my breath. Watt is more likely to stay with Roos. He is a required player. I get the feeling if Doughty is not part of the Holland trade, he will go to Kangaroos in a last minute trade for S. Motlop.

Bottom line: We get r*ped:(

Motlop hasn't had one good season of AFL footy under his belt and he is older than Doughty.
Motlop can replace Burns whilst Doughty is surplus to our needs. Dogga hardly got a game this year.

ON a completely different note, Would we trade Goodwin for Holland and pick 6??????
In a second.

A key defender and a go at the cream of the young forwards in the draft.

Where do I sign!! :D

Why would you replace Burns?????? He has got a year left on his contract and besides I would much rather have Schuback in the team than Motlop. Motlop couldn't get a game at North, why would he get one at Crows where competition for spots in bigger??????

Another alternative is that Doughty could be a part of a 3 way deal between Adelaide, Freo and Saints that would see Black going to Freo, Doughty to Saints and someone or a pick comes our way.

*CRINGE!!*

I know who macca23 will suggest. :(

*Clears throat*

How's this for a new idea - we get Trent Croad. :p

Seriously, Croad for Doughty would require some adjustment, but I'll be a Dutchman if that's not improving the list.

I thought that would create interest.:D

I think it would be a good deal I reckon. We might need to balance it a up a bit by throwing in Doughty or Gallagher

OK, you've convinced me. Where do I sign:D

Also do this

Perrie and pick 45 to West Coast Eagles
Seaby to Adelaide Crows

Adelaide has picks:

6: Fergus Watts
14: Beau Waters
29: Brent Hall

Problems solved:D

Done, done, all done!!! :)

You're a champ, young Stiffmeister!!!

Fanto's got to make you his right hand man!!! ;)

I meant replace Burns by 2005. And Schuback couldn't get a game at West.

The only reason Schuback couldn't get a game at West is because Rehn wants to keep his side settled. Even when Schuey left Westies Rehn said that he should be playing SANFL and will be a very good AFL player.

When Schuey moved to Glenelg he played a few blinders. Motlop doesn't adress our needs one bit. He cannot break into the Kangaroos side. What chance does he have at Crows????? None.

Schuey will play AFL next year.

If we're going to trade Goodwin, we have to get a classy midfielder from the draft.
Beau Waters will develop into a tough in and under midfielder. That bloke will be a bloody good player. If you don't like Waters, I am sure we could get a classy midfielder with pick 14;)

I was thinking we might go for a midfielder at 6.

Agreed Stiffy. There's a good mix of mid-fielders and KPPs in the top 20 to 30 in this draft. Some say that the draft becomes weak after #25 to #30, but like every year there'll be some good ones taken late as well.

At #6 if we take a KPP we have a chance to get a 10 year player for the key forward positions.

The choices at #14 will be very reduced in KPP's by #14.

There will still be plenty of good mid-fielders though at #14

That was my line of thinking.

Generally you can pick a good midfielder with pick 14. Bulldogs got Faulkner at 17 and Melbourne got Bell at 14 last year. If you have god pick in the top 10 and you need a KPP then you would go for the one that is best.
