We ended up getting Renato, reckon he kicked a couple of matchwinners at the Lake Oval around '77.
Couple of years after we pinched Alex Ruskucklic from the Roys.
How I retain this stuff is beyond me.

Yep, was a huge Bomba fan!
Both very unlucky. I thought Marchesani was out best player in the PF & Clarke our best forward on a day not really suited to forwards.

Ended up having to retire after going up for a mark and having the ball land on the end of his middle finger and smashed it back level with his palm... Think he was playing down at port melbourne at the time. Had a spiral scar around the finger from where they opened him up to pull the finger back out straight... Was damned close to losing it completely.
Used to have another Roy boy living just down the road in thornbury. His parents had the news agency on miller st, just over where the tram turns onto Gilbert rd.
And according to the serafini's, serge used to have the old 4square on the corner of Bell and Gilbert...
Was a funny one, Austin utterly baked Matthews, then got injured on the Sunday recovery.
By memory Robbert Klomp, gazumped all 3.
