I went on the 'Ghosts of Princes Park' tour a few weeks ago and my kids came along.

In terms of the events covered on the tour I was at the following.

1) The Bradley goal in 1994.

- That day I was actually on the 50 metre line in the pocket bradley kicked the goal from. I do not remember many game day things, but I remember being directly behind the ball when Bradley kicked it and being able to see it directly bisect the goalposts. It was amazing. The vision does not convey how difficult that kick was.

2) The Milburn Incident

- The most frightening day I ever spent at the ground. Never felt an atmosphere like it before or since. After Milburn cowardly decked SOS then taunted the crowd your could feel the anger as a palpable being. Never been to war or anything like that, but you could physically feel the hate. It was unnerving and I was up behind the glass in the social club. It must have been even more intense down near the ground.

3) Farewell game

- The sadness on this day was intense. Where I was standing men women and children were all crying when Nicholls took the game ball of the ground for the last time. It was like a funeral that day. Not sure the club has truly recovered from it. The day sent a large part of our supporter base into shock.

Only arrived in Melbourne in 1990 so I am very jealous of all the stories I hear from older Blues than I about their days at Princes Park. Still love hearing them and love to ask about them as well.

Buzzas mark, that Essendon* loss in 81, 1 point win against Saints with Sticks and Winmar kicking around 10 each, not Bradley's running goal against WC - damn it, last PP game against Melbourne with Big Nick and Kouta (cried), last game against Pies at PP - 30k crowd even members had to reserve, endless seasons of Doull, Hunter and Williams, Walker's stunning debut in 04, hotdog stand fire, abadee abadaa, not Blight's goal thank Christ, spending the third quarter in a beer queue while they piled on 8, Milburn death wish, more....

My favorite moment was with my old man on the Thursday night training before the 95 grand final.

I was there that day as well. My stark memory was watching Williams and seeing how sharp he was. They did a lot of in close stuff that session and Williams did not miss a beat. I remember saying to someone randomly that Williams was set for a big game.

My one and only game for Carlton back in 1990. Great memories
For the life of me I can't find a debut in 1990 for anyone who only played 1 career game.

Nothing major in particular, but my earliest memory of going to a game was at the then known as Optus Oval hearing the big "Woof" whenever Christou kicked the ball. It was that day I fell in love with the club.

Was at the last 2. Also saw Fitzroy's last win against Geelong there in '91.

Ressies ;)

Since Carlton's best known 1 game player, Wayne Deledio had his moment in 1975, Carlton have had a further 18 1 game players. 3 of those were players who had matches at other senior clubs prior, and there were only 4 between 1976 and 1995, and none in 1990.

Was there when Jezza got collected by that ratbag Magro. Also, the game when Fitzy was trying to run the clock down against Essendon in the last quarter and was penalised for time wasting and then Daniher kicked the last 2 goals to win the game. Was there when they wore the pale blue M&M jumper and saw Micky McGuane play for Carlton.

Unfortunately for me Princes Park/Optus Oval wasn't around long enough for me to enjoy many special moments, I probably saw about 5 games there and loved every one of them.

Saw Andrew Walkers debut and that mark. What a debut...

Was there for the last game too. I hold that pretty dear.

I played in the little league lol
I remember it so well. As we were getting ready in the Carlton rooms during the second quarter Richard Dennis came in on a stretcher after doing his knee. Wayne Johnston did his knee that day too. We were 41 points down at half time and came back and won it.

Went to lots but for some reason the two that stick out are:

1997 M&M guernseys, Rhino's 50th game, and
2001 the game we thrashed Brisbane before they went on to go undefeated for the rest of the season.

But what was the little league score?

48 point turnaround in the third? F me. Premiership quarter, right there...

Kouta vs West Coast 17 mark obliteration. Crowd chanted Kouta Kouta instead of song at end of game.

Bradley's checkside goal from 45 after a few bounces and a 1-2 - I was on that flank.

Beating Richmond one year and teasing a Richmond supporter who had been behaving like a pelican. He threw a full beer at us, so we then teased him about wasting perfectly good beer

When we got Carlton Draught in those plastic bottles

Milburn knocking out SOS

The entirety of the Hot Hot Hot days

Leaning on the metal pole behind the members where the Legends Stand was eventually built and just having a fantastic day with my brother every weekend

Very nice, I like...

Last suburban battle, hardly a battle! Smashed the Pies by 111 points.

A game against the Swans that year when Kouta was everywhere doing everything. The whole stadium chanting "Kouta, Kouta, Kouta" sent chills up the spine.
