There was a letter stuck on walls everywhere from some guy who reckoned he'd been a cat for 45 years and all this stuff, saying how disgraceful the current players are at the moment, and how they aren't playing for the jumper and a whole range of other crap. Pretty easy to sit back and do that but in what way does it help the club? The players won't see it at all, so what's this guy playing at?
I ripped down the one I read but there were a lot of them just stuck around the place.
Anyone else see these? Thoughts?

Are you kidding ?
Was the person really named Dennis ?

He's some bitter old fart who only appears on Cats Claws when Geelong lose.
You never hear from him after a win.
No jokes here mate, I'm sure it was Denis.

Absolute tip head. He left his address for any Geelong player to write to him if they wanted a detailed description of their last few weeks, in hindsight I should have written it down and given him some crap. It was Denis something at P.O. Box some other crap.

I'm not neccessarily arguing with what he's saying, but the way he has conveyed it. The players aren't going to see it, and no one at the club will see it and go, 'Oh god, our problems are solved!'

Never before have I seen so many supporters disgraced, disgusted, horrified, appalled and going to tear up their memberships.........and these are teams who are actually in the 8!
Oh please, dont be so over dramatic. So we've cocked it up, we have had shocking injuries throughout the whole year, its no wonder the years (almost) gone down the drain. We'll come back better n stronger next season... And there is NEVER a thought of tearing up memberships in Catland... only Richmond supporters do that!!

This Dennis chap I'm pretty sure gave Triple M a call yesterday during Saturday Rub (i think that's what the program is called), and asked Sam Newman to go down to Geelong so Dennis, Sam, Bomber, Frank Costa and Brian Cook could have a meeting discussing where they are going. :p

Injuries are no excuse for losing the last 2 games, or losing to Fremantle and Collingwood earlier in the season. What's costing us games is lack of enthusiasm, desperation and most of all accountability (underline that one). It's very convenient to just say "injuries" - convenient for the coach, convenient for the players and everyone else involved. It's too brutal and honest to say half the team have had disappointing years and they've been complacent, which they so clearly have.

Letter
Has anyone given this guy a call, sent him a SMS or a letter? I think i might!

Someone really should because that is pathetic. If i was a Geelong Board member and got a hold of this crab, i would call him and kindly inform him that we dont want supporters of his nature. That is the stuff you expect from Richmond supporters.

You have to stay true to your club through anything. Once again, i was one of the few geelong supporters who stayed to the end and clapped the boys off the ground. Most of them (Ling, Corey, Ottens, Ablett, Hunt, Scarlett, Kingsley, Byrnes, Egan, Rooke) tried their guys out only to be have other team members playing soft football (KING!).

Hand up who will be a member next year? I know for a fact that i will pay $580 again for my social club membership.

GO CATS! We will be back!

I stayed to the end and I was the one telling the people who clapped them off the ground to "go and get f.ucked"

While I dont agree with Dennis, at least the guy is showing his disgust for their performances and showing that we as supporters wont accept it. By clapping them off all you are doing is simply accepting the pathetic brand of football they are producing and doing what we have done for the last 45 years...accept mediocrity!

You have listed players who you thought busted their gut and then singled out King as playing soft. For one, Shannon Byrnes should be in the soft list, he did some nice things, but for the most part was his fumbling, unassured self. Kane Tenace played a great game, he did bust his gut and for no reward.

I didnt think King was all that bad, we dominated the clearances and stoppages and this was due to King. He was a dominant force in the ruck, providing our midfielders with great balls only for the ball to enter the Bermuda Triangle that is our forward line where all was lost. King might not have been crashing through packs and laying big hits but he was far from soft.

King is the leader of our team. He is 202cm and 105kg, why should'nt he be crashing into packs making himself felt against the opposition, like Gary Ablett does every week, even though he is half his size.

I rate King very highly, but this year he has been awful. If he is injured, then dont play. Rest up and get ready for next year because this year we are pretending. You cannot get respect from teams after getting beatin by Collingwood, Fremante, Bulldogs & Essendon.

If King was not soft (this year only) he would actually compete in the ruck dual, rather the running around the opposition and attempting to avoid contact whilst obtaining an easy stat. He should take a note out of Damien Bourkes book and actually make a contest!

If you were telling me to 'go and get.ucked" as you put it, as i was clapping my team off, I would have knocked your ar$e out to put in bluntly. If you are a real supporter, you would accept the fact that your team has up and downs, unfortunatly, the last 9 weeks we have struggled.

You say Shannon Brynes was soft and fumbled, yet you say Tennace was good. Whilst i agree with what part of you say, Tennace was good at finding the ball, his ball use was shocking again. He needs to work on his skills.

If i were picking the team, i would take Byrnes of Tennace every time. Tennace lets himself down with his kicking, Byrnes on the other hand has wonderful skill... Remember his Debut? Have you even seen Tennace kick a pressure goal from outside 50 from a setshot? The answer is no. He fumbles, handballs, passes off, etc because he lacks confidence is his kicking.

All the same, i would love to be sitting near you when you are telling people to 'go and get .ucked'. It would be wonderful!
