You midfield is awesome at the moment, adding Judd would really strike fear into any league opponent, but i'd really go with that, bring in Judd for now and if you still have a few trades up your sleeve, bring in Gysberts next week for cover. It doesn't look like Banner is going to get a game any time soon.

Wanna upgrade Martin and
Waters > one of the above
Martin > M.Murphy

Finishes of my mids and then leaves me with a stack of cash to use when LTI strike and when finals come along.
Is it worth the risk of grabbing a player barely on the fringe
 
It's hard to say!

i think Heath will eventually be squeezed out once the likes of McGlynn, Bolton, Moore, Kennelly, Bradshaw and the likes come back, so i couldn't really give an accurate guess on how long he might be in the team for. If i had to guess. Probably around a month maximum.

Roberton, i'd have to leave to a Freo fan! I'm not sure on how long he could be left in the team for either.

As for other players to throw in, they definitely seem to be few and far between at the moment. Can't think of any other players at all that are between their debut and 2 weeks as far as defenders go at the minute,

Might just jump on Heath so I can go though with my trade of Martin
It may seem stupid but in the long run I think it will pay off. It gives me plenty of cash to use later on guys like Goose, Riloi ect.
He and Roberton seem the only guys who look like getting a game, T. Slattery named as an Emg for the bombers the next closest to getting a few games but dont wanna sit around waiting to see if he does.

So despite Heath getting dropped may just get him in!?!
 
Ultimately down to you man! If Heath was playing i'd say yes, why not? But he was dropped and for all i know he may not play again this season! So i'd be very hesitant. BUT, it seems he was dropped for match up reasons, but whether or not he gets back in the team next week i wouldn't put money on that either because other seniors normally in our 22 will be coming back like McGlynn and Moore, then Kennelly and Bradshaw will be a week or so behind them.
 
Anyone know anything about Ashley Smith from the Eagles? Chance of playing this season?

Seems to be getting big wraps on the Eaglea board.

Mind you, that's what said about Shuey :rolleyes:
 
so with goose potentially out for a while are there going to be any decent defenders coming through? its not overly critical at the moment as he's on the bench and i have webberley as cover, even with the possible loss of enright. seems as though roberton and heath may not have the best JS, so sheppard might be an option (even though i well and truely missed the boat on him). the trade would net me $100k to help upgrade grant at some stage.
 
Mid Season Rookie Elevations

It appears as of Tuesday that every club is able to promote 1 rookie from now until round 22. Given some of the injuries that clubs have received, I was wondering who are potential rookies that might get a gig in the 2nd half of the year.

Being a Bombers supporter, I have only really noticed a couple of new comers that might get a call up. That would be Marigliani or Silverlock. Marigliani could be soon as well.

Just seeing what other clubs have out there and if they think these boys could get a call up soon? Some cheap rookie downgrades are just what I need!

For some reason I've kept Ladson on my bench all season so might have to call him up now that he is playing again.

Forward rookies are going to be my problem because I'll need someone to downgrade Rocky/Gumby to towards the end of the year

Pat Contin and Gourdis would be on the radar for us. We have 2 spots given Simmonds' returement, I guess

hopefully TDL and tapscott get a game at some stage, as i'll probably need to downgrade rocky at some point too.

Pretty sure you'll only get the one. Simmonds' retirement wasn't due to injury, so he won't go on to the LTI list.

it has some merit, but dont expect to him to get a game anytime soon. He's been good in the 2s, he's from Albury (where Kirk is from) but there are a few guys in front of him. If you dont need the bench cover, go for it. Its not like there are a heap of better downgrade options out there.

Personally I'm going with Rohan and gysberts in the mid along with Hitchcock and watts as fwd bench... However I might bring mcneil in as a fwd downgrade during the finals for the extra cash. It's a risk but as long as the rest of my bench is playing could be handy.... Depending on injuries I might not have that luxury come finals time....
