He's currently second last in one of the leagues I'm in.

Terrible forward line as well.

22. FRANKLIN
23. DANGERFIELD
24. MARTIN
25. SMITH
26. KENNEDY
27. PORPLYZIA
28. HALL
29. CAMERON
30. DICKSON

Edit: He's traded out Dal Santo. Was a very odd DT selection to begin with though...

At this stage of the year, I suppose it doesn't matter how/where you get your points, as long as you get them.

Given that the forward premiums have been pretty poor so far this year, maybe going for value in the forward line is the right way to go at the moment? Doesn't seem to have helped Dr. Dreamteam though.

If he has traded out Dal Santo, then that's a strange move.

Okay this guy is a joke. This is just some of the shit dished out in this week's article.

While he hasn't broken the half-ton yet this year, Adelaide’s Thompson (MID, $492,500) had a bumper game in round one with 135 Dream Team points, his highest tally of the season so far.

Seriously, wtf is this? In the 'keep' category, Scotty has only gone under 100 once this season and the one bad week was playing the Hawks; a team known for sapping possession. You would be an idiot to even consider trading him out. Why not put someone like a Dustin Martin in this section, you tool?

We torched Tom Rockliff last week, and then he came out and reminded us just how valuable he is with 143 DT points.

We’ll sheepishly claim we did him a favour and spurred him in to action.

Ok, I had a rant last week for this idiot telling everybody to trade Rockliff out. To make it worse, his suggested replacement was Judd... shut up, the only spurring into action you do is clicking the trade button for ridiculous sideways trades. ;)

Starting the season at $345,600, the Tiger spearhead, Riewoldt, looked to be a bargain buy. But those hopes are now in tatters, after three low scores resulted in a price free-fall to $298,100.

Geelong’s Steven Motlop (FWD, $225,000) and GWS’ Devon Smith (FWD/MID, $222,500) could be good downgrade options.

Motlop and Dev? Theres some guy named Treloar who is doing alright for himself and is less than half the price. Seriously, jeez..

With Shane Mumford (RUC, $452,400) under an illness/injury cloud, the cure for 21,861 dream teamers might be the big man in the West.

Aaron Sandilands’ (RUC, $489,000) lowest score of 90 points came against Geelong in round one.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isnt Sandi under an injury cloud? Calf isnt it? So he tells everyone to replace a guy under an injury cloud for someone in the exact same position. Come on...

Carlton’s Andrew Carrazzo (MID/DEF, $409,200) is expected to miss 8-12 weeks with a fractured shoulder blade (scapula), spelling trouble for 38,000 dream teamers.

He is a dual position player, which gives you a bit to work with, but if you can’t shuffle your team there are a couple of other options.

Port Adelaide’s Brad Ebert (MID, $388,800) is averaging 108 points and could be a smart buy.

But Fremantle’s Matthew Pavlich (MID/FWD, $403,600), who has dropped $62,600 in price since the start of the season, looms as a premium buy.

Seriously, what the hell is this? I am pretty sure next to no-one has a Def/Mid in their mids (and good luck to them if they do ;) haha). This is the most pointless freakin' information in the whole thing. And its 6-8 weeks according to Carlton...cant even do some basic research correctly...

Ive said it once, and ill say it again. How this noob keeps his job I have no idea.

To be fair he's not going to give exact cookie cutter instructions to win the car. It would spoil the competition if heaps of people had exactly the same team. He's going to give people options, that would probably be better than the average casual DTer would get, without getting too specific.

You could get better DT advice here or on any other DT related forum or website.

I sometimes get the feeling that Dr DT gets confused between DT and SC relevant players. Suggesting Rockliff>Judd, as well as starting with Dal Santo in his own team...

Dream Team has already gotten exponentially tougher. Why do you guys want the most popular mainstream DT columnist, who provides the entire extent of a significant portion of the casual DT pool's strategy information, to give stellar advice?

You guys really want the entire portion of DTers who are still bothering to update their team and probably only log in once a week after they read Dr Dream Team to all get Treloar in? You really don't want them burning trades on Rockliff to Judd?

Cheat sheets available to the masses that provide them with genuinely good teams to start off with are detrimental to DT, Dr Dream Team's terrible advice is great for the game.

It's merely the fact he gets paid

im also of the school of thought that its a good thing he isnt a master at Dream Team. He still probably ranks in the top 5% of overall teams by the end of the year.

Besides, do we really want someone who consistently ranks in the top 500 to be Dr Dream Team? I quit doing football tipping because people at my work who had NO IDEA would enter in an follow the tips of people like Dennis Commetti and Tim Lane. Completely defeated the point of tipping, because you werent competing solely against peoples personal tips.

Dr Dream team is of a very similar mould. Thank god he is fairly ordinary.

According to DT Talk, Dr DT wrote something TODAY along the lines of....

"I am advising you it’s not too late if you have traded Ablett out. Just press the reverse button and whammo, Ablett appears again."

...before it was swiftly deleted.

and people say my DT advice is shit! :D

Of course there will be. Doesn't mean that's the right move after 4 rounds and a mere 2 price rises. Love listening to coaches who burn their trades.

Let me rephrase that then, I think there will be plenty of goo, experience coaches who will be cashing in a cash cow this week. Agree re sentiments about not wasting trade, disagree that you can conclusively say that cashing in all cash cows after 2 price rises is a waste of a trade.

I don't see how it's always the wrong move to cash in this round. If you have the personal belief that a rookie won't go up much more in price and that there's a rookie you MUST have *coughtreloarcough*, then short of an LTI to a premium or a stuttering mid-pricer, the logic is to trade.

Not trading Dickson is akin to hanging on to Cam Richardson/Atley last year waiting for them to make some cash.

I will be bringing in 2 rookies it looks this week and that will leave me with about 560k in the kitty. Then upgrade time. Thought about upgrading this week but think its one week too early and really like 2 rookies which i don't think you can miss out on.

Was thinking Hunt to Enright
