Draft camp invitees - confirmed

I have it on very good authority that several clubs are holding off advising players until after the finals. Need to stay focussed. No big heads and all.

I believe you mean the last game, not the finals as the camp is on the week after the grand final.

I think you will find that they have all been told but it has not necessarily been made public to the rest of the teams in some clubs.

Bit hard to keep it till after the finals when they will have a letter advising them sent direct to their home address!!

And still I am unmoved. I have no problem at all with what you know, but please do not be so petty as to tell me what I meant to say. Churlish comebacks, such as the above, do nothing for your credibility, even though they were impressively highlighted with two exclamation marks.
I have not stated that my information is 100% correct, all I have stated is what I have been told by someone quite close to the action who has been very reliable in the past. I believe what I have been told, which is not to say that he is full of bu@@sh@t, but I thought I would share it with the board anyway.
Have you received your letter yet? Or would you care to share any names that you may have who have received theirs.

Like BORED Tigger, we are too old to get draft camp or screening letters and obviously more mature than you are.

None of the kids that I know have received any letters yet, but they are on the way.

I would think that all clubs will not release names until they can be sure that at least all their players have got the appropriate letter.

Be a real TIGER and make your roars count. Don't be a pussy defending your own bulltish that some other pussy fed you.

And what a great victory the mighty Tiges had over those draft selection hogs, the Hawks, on the weekend.

Geelong players got told last night
Camp: Stanley, Higgans, Simpkin, Crook
Screening: Mcguane, B.Johnson, Wormald, Eddy, Bartram, Banjanin
Mcguane stiff i thought

Chewey. Thankyou for your input. I loved the maturity thing but thought the pussy line was a little over the top but then again each to their own.
My original post concerned what I have been told which I choose to believe.
I chose to share it by posting it. Believe it or not, either way I meant to say it.
And yes the victory was sweet, even if tainted by the looming spectre of tanking for priority picks.

Thought Hayden Graham might get a screening. Agree with the rest though. Banjanin gets in on the 'ruck exemption' (any ruckish guy will get a look). Glad to see Crook get the call, not the flashiest but goes like a train.

Also agree with Tyger, Mcguane was stiff.Wormald has claims too.

The question I have with Wormald is what is his position? And for McGuane I think he maybe relies a little too much on his marking, once the ball hits the deck he is often out of the contest and the running defenders can exploit him. Unfortunatley AFL clubs just don't kick to contests anymore and that hurts a guy like McGuane whose strenght is taking a pack mark.

Don't disagree Weaver re McGuane.I think in terms of Richmond when I watch him though and feel that the contested marker in particularly one area we are sadly lacking.Particularly once Gaspar and Kellaway hang up the boots.

Archibald hasn't shown enough and apparantlyseems like he may be one let go at the end of this season.

My idea of a good late pick project player for the backline.Similar to what 'Thirsty" was for us last draft.

crook might not be going anywhere, apparently hurt his knee last night at training and won't take the field this week for the falcons. It has taken him a while to get over the last time he hurt it. Can't believe people are rating Stanley, I've watched quite a few of the falcons games and his kicking is terrible.

I find this hard to believe as for 2 clubs in the TAC cup, their finals will end on the day of the AFL grand final. They'd give them more chance than a couple of days to get themselves ready for camp at Canberra.

Yeah, the return of Duncan Kellaway. 9 or 10/10 in almost every part of the game, but 3/10 for kicking. You'd love for him to make it, but with AFL being glorified circle work a guy like him could struggle to be picked up. Then again Andrew Dunkley played plenty of footy.
