To be honest i am not certain that either will be available.

If you look at it there are 5 talls that could go in 1st round Bradley, Watts, Chaplin, Gayfer and Morrison.

Western Bulldogs, Melbourne, Geelong, Richmond, Hawthorn and Kangaroos are all possibly looking for talls. At the end of the day we might miss out on both unless we trade up in the draft.

If both Gayfer and Morrison were available come pick 14, personally I would go for Gayfer. Morrison is good but any KPP who has had a shoulder reconstruction at the age of 18 is a risk IMHO especially when he is expected to take overhead marks.

Before Gayfer was injured prior to championships, he was having a better season than Watts. As I said earlier in 8 games he has taken 49 marks playing at CHF. Not overly athletic but a very smart player who doesn't make mistakes under pressure and is physical. At 192 cm and 92 kg he could play a game or two in 2004 which would no doubt help his development;)

I would definetly take Gayfer.:)

I really rate Weaver's judgement. He is not far off the mark with his ratings of Victorian Kids. He likes Gayfer more than Morrison and possibly Watts.

Dasler is the man for the WA draft prospects. A bloke watches a lot of colts games (especially South Fremantle).

He reckons Hall is an early to mid 2nd rounder.

I say get some top 30 draft picks Crows:)

Tall, outside ruckman with an excellent leap and quick hands. Has good endurance. SA U/18 representatives this year. From Moonta FC.

Had a look at all of these guys in the reserves match today. All of the Centrals guys played fairly solid games.

Whitehead was not much chop. Took a couple of good marks, but his ruckwork was woeful. Damo Arnold beat him every time.

However the one bloke I would love to see at the Crows is Eddie Sansbury!! This guy just keeps getting better, kicked some good goals today.

Told ya he was a dud:p

Symes is pick of that lot.

How old is Sansbury?????? The bloke has some serious speed and is a bit of an excitement machine.

In that case maybe use a later pick on him or rookie list him. Definetly has come on pretty quickly in the 2nd half of the season.

Agreed!

GO THE DOGS!

I get the feeling a dud like Whitehead will get drafted just because he shows a bit of jumping ability.

That's just what I was thinking! As long as we don't get him I will be happy.

I got his snippet from the article from Herald Sun

Adelaide recruiting manager James Fantasia believed Ray had been the outstanding athlete, but said the standard had been high during the three days.

"Farren Ray did a great job with the shuttle run. He progressed to league footy from being an AIS kid so he's had an amazing show of development," Fantasia said.

"I think overall the standards have been pretty reasonable and there's a few taller kids that are quite athletic with some real athletic prowess.

"There's probably half a dozen that have put their hand up to confirm where they are in the draft. Adam Cooney's not here but he would have been exciting to have a look at as well."

Looks like Fanto has been keeping an eye on a few talls.:D.

Way to go Fanto. Make those picks count:)

I would really like us to pick sup Chris Stewart as a project player. The bloke has got so much upside and potetential. He could be anything, from Chris Tarrant to Daniel Schell but never the less worth a punt.

Another one from the Herald Sun about top 10 prospects

1. Adam Cooney
Club: West Adelaide
Age: 18
Height: 186cm Weight: 81kg
"All indications are that Adam Cooney will be No. 1, that's what we're hearing. He's more developed than a lot of the boys in terms of his body and his size. He's played league football against men, he's footy smart, he's got a good turn of speed. He's a good package." Richmond recruiting manager, Greg Beck.

2. Kane Tenace
Club: Murray Bushrangers
Age: 18
Height: 181cm Weight: 80kg
"Absolute super pace. Breaks up the play with his pace. He's played some terrific footy with the Bushrangers and played very well for Vic Country." St Kilda recruiting manager, John Beveridge.

3. Ryley Dunn
Club: Murray Bushrangers
Age: 17
Height: 182cm Weight: 80kg
"He's really competitive, he's got a good strong body. He's played at an elite level for two years now and has handled it really well. He's got leadership capabilities and he's really determined. But it's mainly his competitive nature which will help him get through." Melbourne recruiting manager, Craig Cameron.

4. Colin Sylvia
Club: Bendigo Pioneers
Age: 17
Height: 183cm Weight: 82kg
"He's super competitive, an extremely good mark, kicks the ball really well and really applies himself with great determination every time he plays. He's had to overcome a bit of injury to do as well as he has." John Beveridge.

5. Andrew Walker
Club: Bendigo Pioneers
Age: 17
Height: 186cm Weight: 83kg
"Walker's camp results have been terrific. His last six months of footy have been fantastic. He's come from an AIS background and he's bottom-age." Adelaide recruiting manager, James Fantasia.

6. Raphael Clarke
Club: St Marys-Darwin
Age: 18
Height: 189cm Weight: 78kg
"Raph's a great kid and he's got a lot to offer. He's been in the system for a little while now through the AIS program last year. His national championships weren't as good as he probably would have liked, but a lot of his lead-up stuff was very good. I suspect he'll be a first-round draft pick." James Fantasia.

7. Farren Ray
Club: Peel Thunder
Age: 17
Height: 181cm Weight: 73kg
"Farren's really quick, he's got cat-like movements. He played soccer until he was about 14 and I think that's helped his balance. He's got good hands and doesn't fumble at all. Farren's a good player, he'll go pretty early." Craig Cameron.

8. Kepler Bradley
Club: West Perth
Age: 17
Height: 198cm Weight: 88kg
"He has enormous endurance and probably plays a bit more like a 6ft 5in midfield type rather than a ruckman/key-position player at this stage. He's genuine size, finds the footy a lot and he's done quite well with West Perth in the seniors late in the season." John Beveridge.

9. Brock McLean
Club: Calder Cannons
Age: 17
Height: 182cm Weight: 86kg
"McLean's really come through in the finals. He's cleary demonstrated that he'd be an excellent inside midfielder. He's a powerful leader and plays well when it counts. He's one that's gone up during the finals." Hawthorn recruiting manager, John Turnbull.

10. Troy Chaplin
Club: North Ballarat Rebels
Age: 17
Height: 193cm Weight: 85kg
"Troy Chaplin's had a fantastic year, winning the Barrassi Medal over in Ireland. Troy's also a bottom-age tall, which makes it harder to see where he's going to go because talls take a bit longer. But he'll come through and play AFL footy and he'll be a good AFL player." Kangaroos recruiting manager, Neville Stibbard.

I like the sound of Brock McLean. Just what the doctor ordered for the miidfield stocks.

Bit surprised that Fergus Watts is not rated up there. I would have him before Chaplin.

I got this snippet from The Age. Its god to see that Fanto has got our priorities right:)

James Fantasia
(Adelaide)

In the job: for nine years at the Crows

Football background: played SANFL football for Norwood (under Neil Balme) and Woodville (under Malcolm Blight). State development manager for the SANFL.

Prized picks: "In my first year we drafted Kane Johnson at No. 27 and got Simon Goodwin in the pre-season draft, so they stand out a bit. I was always surprised that Brett Burton got through to No. 16 and we got Graham Johncock at No. 64."

This year: "I just think we've got to improve in all areas. Hopefully we don't go to the draft with excessive picks. It would be good to get some tall players on to the list to support our rucking division and our key-position division at both ends."

The pool: "The draft is always exciting. People can talk it up or down but there's a group of kids who will come through and play and become household AFL names."

All I can say is use them wisely Fanto;)

is this bloke any good?

I have no idea but by hell he is a fantastic athlete.

I have a feeling he would be more of a project player. A bit like Jericho with the Crows. Good athlete but needs do develop his footy skills

hmmm...

the athletic ability is what made me notice him (a quick check had him feature in all areas 'cept the beep test), but the part that caught my eye was the "...and great below the knees". That is always a sign of a player with good hands, and that's the sign of a bloody good player, imo.

Medium, outside utility and a good overhead mark who reads the game well. Good defensive skills. From Scoresby FC.

Just thought i'd bring this up and mention that Josh Moore is actually a cousin of Reilly's.

Stiffy, your probably the man to ask about this: Would we at all be interested in him?

I doubt we would because he's a midfielder and we have stacks of them.

Wouldnt have to worry about him getting homesick if he has his cousin around the club!!

To be honest, I have no idea. I think you might be better off checking the profiles of Eastern Rangers player likely to be drafted on Draft Board. GOALden Hawk has watched a lot of TAC Cup games and he does those profiles.

I doubt we would be interested in a midfielder and if we are it would likely be one of the SA boys with our 2nd pick. If we are after a midfielder I would love Willoughby. That boy can play.
