What about Robbie Tarrant, real draft smokey? Heard he ran 2.99 and over 14 in the beep!

Yes he did, and he is fast and has been working on explosive starts. He also did very well in the vertical jump in the top ten I think. Its not so much the time for the 20 mtr that I like because rarely does a footballer get the chance to run 20 mtr without being tackled, its his first step quickness that impresses me. He got 1.04 sec for the first 5 mtres enough to blast away from a pack. He also did well in the 3 km, considering it was on a grass track as the AIS track was not ready in time, thats why alot of the boys got slower times etc. Robbie is and still is working hard on improving himself. According to sources there was alot of interest in him when he completed the 20mtr sprint and got 2.99 (and slipped as well).

there has to be a point where taking an athlete over a footballer gets ridiculous. and i personally think this is pushing it. you can take someone with an awesome football brain, and sensational decision making and turn develop them into athletes. i dont think you can develop decision making and a football brain to a point thats AFL standard, you can to an extent, but not from where Kangars is coming from. i'll be honest and say i did only see a couple falcons games this year. but the Knights game was one of them. and thought Kruezer had a shocker and still got in the best.

Definetely agree with you, Kruezer gets in the best weekend in and out. No doubting the guys ability but a few games I seen were very poor and he still made it in the best. Heard he was all for himself at the camp and showed nothing towards helping out team-mates!!!!!!!!!

Just having a browse through your 23 posts on Big Footy. At least this one wasn't about a Tarrant...

Don't understand this comment. Kruezer has all the pressure in the world on him at the moment and comes across as a fairly shy normal 18 year old. I think he is a bit embarrassed by all the fuss made of him and keeps to himself and his close mates. I know he is very popular with his teammates. Give him a break. At 18 and going into AFL it is very hard on any kid but Kruezer has even more pressure on him, let him develop and grow as a footballer and if he sucks at that maybe then you could start bagging him but don't bag him when he hasn't had the chance to prove himself

Sounds like your fan of Robbies nipper? Where do you think hell end up?

I think Western Bulldogs are after one speciifc player and if he is gone by pick 19 I think they might grab Robbie. North Melb & Melb are two other possibilites and outsider Port Adelaide. West Coast was a real chance but now they have got Kennedy who is a similiar type of player I don't think they will pick him. After these teams first two rounds picks and he is not taken I think then he could go anywhere.

Why get him at Pick 9 when they can get him at Pick 42?

Also, why bring it up in the Draft Camp results thread?

Well thats okay i suppose but everyone should remember this about all players instead of just Kruezer. Judging players on reputation alone instead of a personal basis in not fair on them or family and friends!!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of us judge players on what we have seen and are not clouded by knowing them on a personal level. Sure, at this time of year there's plenty of guys who come on here and make comments clearly based on a player reputation, but there's a lot of who have been posting here all year and have been watching junior footy all year.

You're clearly a friend of the Tarrant's, or at the very least a keen follower of Bendigo, and that's fine. He's a good young player, but it doesn't justify you coming on here and dragging Kreuzer down. We don't get the chance to see them behind the scenes, but I've never seen Kreuzer not being spoken about it absolutely glowing terms for his demeanour off the field.

I live in the Northern suburbs so get all the local papers covering the Knights and it's amazing how highly his coaches speak of his work off the field and his personality.

He's been claiming that Sandilands'll be picked up by the Lions at pick 8 on our board...

What, so you a Kruezer fan! Same difference. Kruezer is great player and i have seen him play many times, there is no doubting his ability or his demeanour, the point i was trying to make is why is Robbie Tarrant's demeanor and off field atticks based on Chris's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You heard wrong. More BF crap.

where on earth are the height and weight results?...its really annoying not having them. because they are arguably the most important..especially for guys like Mcevoy and other ruckmen or KPP.

Just to ask ( and i know it was on a grass surface so not hugely that quick ) but what would an afl footballer do it in? Around that time? way better? The dockers just finished a three km timed run, ( i think Brett Peake came first) what would he have done it in??

Peak would have done it in around 9 minutes 40 seconds. Average AFL time would be around 11 minutes.
