Draft Camp Results

Cruize garlett is at the draft camp. Im friends with his family and was wondering where/when he will get picked in the draft. . . if he does.

I think he will go around the 50-60 mark if he gets picked up and then if he doesnt should be rookie listed.

He is too small for my liking but exceptional with his hands and pace.

More to do with genetics and endurance than sheer sporting ability. I am pretty sure my son did 15.2 at 16yo and he was an average footballer who worked hard, chased hard, tackled hard and was always the one finishing a game off.

the beep test goes to level 22. I know Sebastian Coe passed it. At level 20 it is 3sec 20 metres which is 24km/h which is only just above what marathon runners can run at over the entire 42km. So i would assume most if not all the world class marathon runners and any elite long distance runners would be able to pass it.

I did a 15.something when I was a kid around age 16~17...but then I was doing swimming training approx twice a day, triathlons, weights and gym stuff etc...

Doubt I could do it now as I gave up competitive swimming/triathlons away when I reached University, but still; these guys are preparing for the career of their life - you wonder why they aren't training as hard as other athletes in other areas?

I was wearing shoes slightly bigger than my normal ones, and when I was running I tripped over and twisted my ankle.
The result stuck though.

i never had to do it, i guess breaking your neck does actually have some advantages to it. . . not many, actually thats the second (not having to do high school sport was 1st). Im still convinced its not to test how fit you are but to make you feel crap about how fit you arent.

nah. the person is right. I ran a 16.2 beep test and whilst i threw up afterwards I think with some training I could get up to level 17. I'm not saying its easy as my grand father won the 800m at the stawell gift so its obvioulsy in my blood but 15.8 is nothing special.

That is a lie. First of all you wouldn't have run 16.2 without being a national level cross country/ distance representative. Don't know why someone would lie on an internet forum about it.

Secondly winning the 800m at Stawell means squat. Its a handicap race. if your grandfather was really good he would've done something in amateurs.

i can easily beleive people that have got 15's in the beep test. my highest was done start of this yr at 13.6 and 15 yrs old. looking for 15 next yr and training hard so you can do it without being a national runner etc. i think that the pies fans would be happy to know that their scholarship player nick perry got around the late 14's at the start of the yr.
