Are we confident Hawks and Syd don't want Hollands?

If we're able to convert it into two picks and still get Hollands I'd be over the moon.

Piss weak by Perkins.

Agree. What little fairness left in the draft hinges on clubs being able to draft a player from any State. Otherwise why bother with a national draft. More needs to be done to protect it.

He's basically tampering... he doesn't care if his comments are going push him back in the draft order bc at the end of the day they all get the same reward.

Not sure what a realistic solution is though, maybe a blanket ban on relocation talk and push them back a year if they try and tamper.

On AFL draft radio Thilthorpe - "can't jump and isn't overly quick" former Brisbane recruiter Andrew Farrell had him slipping to pick 7 I think.

Better start reading up on tom powell then I guess
If Cox is available at our second pick, as per Twomey's late mail, then I'd love to see us get him. Funny how the only change he made was to swap the GWS picks around.

The similarity between Knightmare’s draft and Cal Twomey’s is scary, he’s like that kid in school who copied your exam, ‘Don’t worry I got a few wrong on purpose so the teacher won’t know’.

Doesn't release his phantom until every other journo has released theirs, including their late mail updates.

The Essendon bid for Campbell coming at pick 8 is the giveaway.

I'm absolutely shocked Marty Gleeson and Matt Kennedy didn't make the phantom draft in the end.

His power rankings had them in the top 30.....

most players would have the preference to stay in their home state - I'd prefer to be upfront about it than ignore it

then its up to clubs to draft them and back in their culture

If McDonald said that you'd be amongst the first ones to say to look in a different direction.

Bit mixed on Perkins' comments.

On the one hand, you do worry there are some shenanigans at play. But on the other, we don't know what his private life is like. For all we know he has a pregnant girlfriend or some other circumstance just as valid which would genuinely make an interstate move a big issue.

And there's a far cry from what he said and saying either "I wont go interstate" or "I'm not going to try if you pick me and then I'm going to get traded back to Victoria".

The kid has certainly put himself under the spotlight now. He'll cop some on field sledging I imagine.

l like the fact that he is honest. He's not saying he wont go but mentally he might no be able to handle it and he hasn't named a club he would like to go to. If an interstate club picks him it will be up to them to make him happy to play there and change his mind set. They are being fore-warned. Some draft selections decide they cant handle being away and others can. All he is saying is "buyer beware".
