Nice :) I thought he was underrated all year.

Yeah, he's grown about 3-4cm this year as a 19 year old. Genuine height now.

Certainly did well as a fill in at our intra club in January this year on genuine AFL players.

Averaging 20+ disposals as a mop up defender in the Nab League at his height is decent...

BS that the AFL allowed Brisbane15 minutes to match the bid. once again AFL making rules on the run AFL should have been "sorry Lions 5 minutes is up"
AFL House paused the timer while they processed a trade that took them far longer to approve than it should have. If AFL House were as organised as they expect everyone else to be then there wouldn't have been a delay.

In next years draft if a club bids on one our NGA kids then I expect Essendon to have the same amount time to match the bid.

The precident has been set can't go back to 5 minute time limit AFL will have to increase the timer to 10 now

Brisbane didn't get the extra time. The AFL got the extra time. Which is their prerogative.

I'm sure if someone bids on our guy and we put in a trade during our matching time and the AFL then takes 10 minutes to process the trade, the same thing will happen. But I'm guessing they'll make some changes so that it doesn't happen again... broadcast agreements etc.

It wasn't Brisbane that got the extra time though, it was the AFL.

Quality melt though.

In the draft next year if Essendon have lodged a requested trade with the AFL before the 5 minute limit and the AFL take a while to figure out if the picks traded are owned by the clubs trading them AND that the trade will comply with the rules, then it will look exactly the same.

Hope so but knowing the AFL will probably try and screw Essendon

It was super weird he wasnt playing for allies, he was very very good for the Devils.
