i'm happy with the draft, managed to pick up some quality mids and a ready to go small forward to boot!

Yes IP - I too feel the same way and that ill feeling in my guts has not disapated. If I played in a kp in our backline I would be thinking one of two things - I will play all 22 games next year or Fuc# who is gonna help me out here!!!

We have a good record at the draft table ....we will judge this in 3 or 4 years time.

Very very lively small forward type who could ultimately go into the midfield when that jockey frame of his fills out. Good acceleration and is particularly clever around the stoppages. Good runner who explodes away from stoppage and uses the ball well by hand and foot. Loves a goal and whilst you think of a Milne when you see him there is no doubt there is more upside to this kid.

We are going to be fast at least in the next few years.

We have got plenty of quick midfielder and small forward types we are very deficient in and screaming out for, I'll wait and see before I start passing judgement on how bad it is.

I'll be very surprised if he doesn't get rookie listed though. How many teams passed, there's a good chance that he'll get selected in the PSD and end up on a senior list anyway.

It takes KPP around 4 years to develop though which means if we load up on talls in 2009/2010 then they won't be ready until around 2013.

I reckon 3 of our 6 rookie draft selections will be 190cm+.

I am very disappointed we did not pick up at east one kpp. This is a very bad mistake that will come back to haunt us.

I think the club have decided to address the great current weakness now - we have loaded up on hardworking and quick mid types.

Taken 2 small forwards and grabbed that ruckman that we needed.

On Ballantyne - we don't know ...perhaps Port or the Bombers had an interest.

If the club saw him as the best available - one thing he fills a void.

Whilst I agree KPD will be a concern ...Drum is pushing through - we will however strongly need to target this need in the next draft (surely)

Atleast 2 of Drum, Dodd, Campbell, Murphy and Johnson need to take a big step forward.

I was just about to say - now that I've got up and made a coffee, I am feeling quite differently. They have made their choices based on a whole lot more than anything I could ever hope to know, so I'll back them in 100%.

So there I said it...



But I also think you can be a king-sized tosser a lot of the time.
