Man that is quite a wrap for Scrimshaw's talent!:

"The Excitement Package. On pure talent, he could be No.1 in the draft I think. He hasn't played a lot of footy and he's had some injuries. He played for Metro before he played for us this year. His body's a bit underdeveloped because of that, but some of his movements and ball handling leave you shaking your head. He needs to knuckle down and get his body right, because if he does he could be scary good. He's a friendly, affable young fella and it will be interesting to see where he settles. We know he can play half back, we know he can play forward, so the next challenge is to build his tank and see if he can play a midfield position as well. Time will tell with that, but you can't deny his talent, it's oozing out of him."

Shhhhhhhh ;)

No Taranto? Or did I just miss him?
AFL bio: Medium midfielder-forward who has great natural speed and agility, which gives him separation from his opponent. Very good one on one and a strong aggressive tackler. Averaged 18.8 disposals and 1.8 tackles for Vic Metro, winning All-Australian honours.

"I have a bit of a soft spot for Timmy. He came to us after playing high-end basketball and he has something about him. He's exceptional for his size above his head and he's a smart, structured kid with good character. He understands what he wants, he plans, he prepares and he just goes about his business. I thought he almost won a few games for us off his own boot in the finals and what some people wouldn't know is that aside from leading our possession count in almost every game, he usually leads our pressure acts as well. I think he's only just starting to realise how good he could be, too. He's not a big-headed kid and his confidence is still growing. One he realises all the things he can do, watch out."

On SEN this morning they said if Essendon go to the draft with pick 1 they will go for Mc Grath, that should throw the order around a bit. I hope we keep 10 anything could happen.

This years draft appears to be similar to the 2014 draft where there's a number of players that would be suitable pick 1s. On one of Cal Twomey's pod casts he said some clubs had McGrath, Brodie, McGrath & even English as the best kid in the draft.

yeah keep hearing that, one teams pick 1 is another pick 12 and vice versa.

Its undoubtedly Hugh McCluggage.

Apparently Robert Shaw rates him extremely highly and have put him front and centre. Must have been at Brighton Grammar and they went as far as to say they have no player comparison to him as he's unique. Either a huge ruse like we did with Matho or they are seriously into him. I can't imagine they need to with pick one though.

Personally think he plays a lot like Whitfield. Kicks a lot of goals very neat skills. Light on his feet

Liking Scrimshaw at pick 10 but I wonder if Acres, Steele and Scrimshaw might be too big to have all of them in the midfield?
Don't see the issue with Gresh, Sinclair etc running through there

I got told something very different about who they would take at 1, would put my money McCluggage

We have a need, a need for speed.
Brendan Parfitt for a later pick?

Elite kick. Smart, fast and tough.

NT's most valuable player. All Australian.
Imagine him and Gresh tearing it up in there.

Not sure if Scrimshaw is a great fit for us tbh. ATM he's a tall left footed half back flanker. We already have White who will hopefully play that role. Hoping scrimshaw will go into the midfield seems a bit risky.

I haven't seen him play but Rotham sounds a better selection as a tall flanker. Sounds like he's a beautiful kick and can play bigger if required.

Id the idea is that we're trading for Steele, looking to go hard at a free agent mid next year, and seeing as we have no real concrete options to trade in a defender, then who are the best KPDs in the draft this year? I've heard about Griffin Logue, would he fit? Or are there any good options further down the draft board?
