In all honesty I'd only take Hopper, Mills, Schache and Weitering over Gresh.

I like Parish as well but the boy is a 30c soft serve cone.
I reckon he watches a heap of junior footy so won't be as strong on the AFL kids and probably just forgot about him. If he had played at the Pies he would be all over him. Otherwise he's just grabbed champion data stats and looked who had the most stats from the 2015 draftees. I really don't mind all our kids avoiding hype. It will be easier to keep hold of them in a very fluid player trade market if they aren't all over the media. No club is going to pay huge dollars for low profile players.

He either has a serious anti St Kilda bias or doesn't watch us at all, he reckons these blokes are all better than anyone on our list born in 1994 or later

Trout's interview on afl draft podcast suggested that tall mids with pace and/or strong kicking skills would be our target, unless someone drifts more than 5 spots from their rankings.

So, in my view, Zac Fisher is ruled out for pick 23, unless Trout rates him as a top 15-18 pick.
Having said that he also said we were going to go after a tall mid last year. Next minute Gresham

I'd say there is a fair amount of projection there, Mc Donald is okay but he must see more than I do in him. Hard to argue with a lot of those others as most are looking very promising. Grundy has gone backwards though. Moore looks like he's going to be a superstar and maybe better than Hogan I reckon in a few years. De Goey has one from gun to spud in a year.

I can understand Hogan, Wright, Viney, Petracca and perhaps Moore.

Piss off De Goey is better than anyone our list lmfao. He'll be lucky to be on a list in 3 years. If the Pies don't delist the AFL will ban him.

I dont want to be the grinch but I would have all those players ahead of Gresh AT THE MOMENT. TBH I think Oscar McDonald will make a more versatile defender than Goddard but time will tell. It is all subjective and we still love Gresh he will be a star so who cares!

de Goey is not even close to Acres and Billings.

18 clubs would prefer McCartin over Jack Martin. / McDonald.

I still reckon he's probably doing what he does with his draft kids and imagine the future ceiling rather than the now. gresham is small and he doesn't seem to rate them as highly. Caleb Daniel had a killer year and was a strong finals player. Pretty sure he's born in 1995 or 96.

True, but its not like Gresham won't get better.
May take another year or two for other people to realise hes the best kid from 2015

I really don't mind, if we can get these guys even close to elite we are huge winners even if they don't become household names. I grew up in an era where Hird and Buckley were superstars and Harves just went and took all the browlows they apparently deserved. I'll be happy if Gresh and Acres can do that to those guys. Paddy can luck 10 goals a week for the rest of his career as far as I'm concerned.

That Knightmare discussion was here, on the Collingwood board: https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/its-safe.1145727/page-4#post-46795218

If anyone disagrees with what he's saying, I don't recommend arguing with him there, being the Pies board and an old thread.

I wouldn't put a heap of stock in what he says re us, as I've rarely seen him say anything much particularly positive about us, or what we've done with regards to trades or drafting, and from memory up until fairly recently at least I believe he said he doesn't have Foxtel, so he may only get to see us a handful of times per year.

Makes a bit more sense that he's done it off the cuff trying to justify himself on a point of view and it's only from a few clubs. Anyway the kids we have who are likely to be stars are Billings...had a year to forget, Acres...showed that he might be something special but the glimpses weren't yet Patrick Cripps dominance, Gresh who played some fantastic footy but to play devils advocate so did Lonie and Sincs year one and Paddy was missing a lot. Ross is probably underrated by him, he was excellent and members was as good as anyone in front of goals. I'd say he's probably not wrong that we haven't got guaranteed superstars yet but half his list were guys who were not there yet but had higher profiles but still only showed glimpses. Tom Hickey is still young and had a great season too while grundy looked average. De Goey looks shit after a promising start.

It's funny that others are given the benefit of 'time to develop' and yet Paddy doesn't appear to. Has shown he could be the best forward in the comp in a limited number of games.

And those 15 being ahead of Gresh. Just lol.

I suppose what it shows is that our younger players are still very underrated and have more to prove. Which suits me fine tbh.
