They have a good team on paper, IMO and I think this year will have done them a lot of good as far as uncovering and giving significant opportunities to the likes of McDonald-Tippa, Parish and Z Merrett goes.
Down back they have the elite KPP stocks in Hurley and Hooker, plus others like Goddard, Kelly and Tippa, in the midfield area they have Heppell, Merrett, Watson, Zaharakis, Parish, Stanton and Colyer and then up forward they have Daniher and Brown, then the likes of Fantasia (who is bloody good already), Laverde and Francis, plus they get either McCLuggage or McGrath with pick 1 of the draft and either one of them will probably be able to come in and do well immediately.
I hate to say it, but when I look at their team on paper I see a team that ought to be up to their eyeballs in the finals race and a better and more balanced team on paper than the likes of Collingwood, Port and Richmond, who are all expecting to play finals this year.
Because they finished bottom this year they've also been gifted a piss-easy draw, which will make it much easier for them to make the 8 than ours will (ours ranked the 3rd hardest by CD). The thing that may make it hard for them though is that it may take their returning 10 or so a while to get used to how much the game has changed in the 18 months since they last played. If it does and they get off to a slow start they may struggle to recover, but if they don't, they could be in for a good season.
