Connor Byrne from GWS' academy is someone we should be looking at if they don't decide to draft him. I was very surprised to see he missed out on the Allies squad and I'd still be surprised if the Giants didn't take him but he is the type of midfielder we need, if he makes it to our third round pick.

Wins the contested footy and is also pretty good on the outside.

I've heard big wrapps on McLuggage.

And we have a winner!

Regarding this year: I'm treating it now like a trade and drafting thread, only we've already got them, if that makes sense. What I mean is, we talk about how good it'd be to get that young Steele kid, or pick up such and such a player. Well, the same is kind of true for our players, in a sense.

Could we get him in some kind of package deal?
I'm a freight not.

One day he got lost at the airport and turned up on tbe baggage claim carousel.

I still reckon the decision to draft him will be an open and shut case of he is still available at our pick.

I just hope we're not too quick to label him.

Team needs pace.

Has McLuggage got wheels?

I'll be at both games, and may be on the AFL Draft Central Twitter handle.

I reckon he'd be packing himself on debut.
Wouldn't want to leave himself open. And if it was against Footscray he'd wanna make sure the dogs didn't get a sniff.

Anyway, by the time it was over he'd be stuffed.

All seriousness is there a 3rd tall defender type that would be available at our 3rd rounder?
Probably a few.

I like Tassie's Ben McGuinness a lot; 189.5cm 75kg, AFL Academy kid, booming left-foot kick, quick, great hands... He struggles for consistency, but has a bagful of tricks and is capable of this...

He got expelled from school once.

The teacher told him to "pack yourself up and go home"

From Twomey's article on Andy McGrath...

"McGrath's athletics background reads like an 18-year-old who would struggle to display all of his medals. He was the Australian under-14 champion in high jump (his best effort is 2m), and in 2012 was the Australian junior champion in the 200-metre hurdles.

He won heptathlon events in the under-15 age group at state level, and in 2014 won the Australian junior championships for the under-17 hurdles event. The Olympics were a way off, but not out of sight. He grew up training three times a week for his athletics career, and was eyeing the world youth championships in 2015 before pulling out of the sport.
"

- Now listed at 180cm, so maybe he's still growing...
- School Captain at Brighton Grammar and VM co-Captain. (so seemingly leadership potential).

Averages per games:
- 32.5 possessions (80% eff.)
- 12.5 handball receives
- 6.5 marks (0.5 marks)
- 6.75 tackles

Starting to really warm to him...
