My 195cm-plus pick for 2015... North Ballarat's Warrnambool product Shannon Beks.

A big lump of a kid at 195cm 90kg, he had an up-and-down underage season for the Rebels with 4 goals in 8 games as a key forward and part time ruckman, and was in and out of the 'senior' side.

He bobbed up at club level for South Warrnambool as well kicking 5 goals in 7 matches for the Seniors, and a pretty decent 22 goals in 8 matches in the U18s.

Ben Ainsworth please. Don't be sucked in by the Powell and Seton bandwagoners, Ainsworth IMHO is clearly the best player at this point in time.
He's a gun, no question, but what do we need with another small small forward?

He's the same size as my man Gresh; can you imagine the outcry from the 'big mids brigade'?

Might as well ask here. Does anyone have a list of prospective father/sons in the next few years?

Connor Harvey must be only a year or so off drafting age and what ive heard is that he's been getting pretty decent at his footy over the last couple of years.

The question is could we play all of gresh, lonie, sincs & Ainsworth in the same side?

I don't think we could.

I actually think we could - Gresh and Sincs are mids who can play forward, Lonie and Ainsworth are small forwards who can do short stints in the middle - I'm just not sure we should.

Jackson Voss - U/18 in 2018
Connor Harvey - U/18 in 2017

Pretty sure Frankie Peckett's eldest boy is 18 this year but unsure of his footy ability, and then he has another 4 boys younger than him (next one is only 14 this year)

I have a mate who's kids played against Peckett's kids and he reckons some of the younger ones look like potential guns. Voss's kid sounds pretty good from all reports I have heard. Connor harvey never gets too much love so not sure he's a potential player at AFL level.

Hey Robert was one of the better cricketer's as well until he chucked it in.

His great uncle was Neil Harvey the cricketer and another was Merv Harvey from memory. He was a very good cricketer and plenty said he could have made the grade in professional cricket. A mate played with him at junior cricket and said he was outstanding.

I'm thinking we won't be getting a top 5 pick, so definitely still go best talent available.
Jarrod Berry, Will Brodie, Jack Scrimshaw, Sam Powell-Pepper, Noah Hura, Jonty Scharenberg...

That's where I'm at ATM. I think we'll be picking between picks 6 and 10.

Also, there's going to be a bloody high pick required for Jack Bowes.

How would people feel about swapping a first out for Peter Wright, possibly (pushing it) with a 2nd rounder coming back?

That way the Suns get a pick they need, and we get a super talented fwd/ruck and back into the 2nd Round.

Don't rate him to do that deal yet, we are well covered with talls.

Thought Connor took more after the Cricketers in his family than his da.
I had heard that as well, but also that the last couple of years has focused a lot more on football and is making large improvements.

Could have been misinformed or misread though.

Sam PP is clem smith MK2 IMO, highly talented until the season starts and he starts to slide as the weaknesses in his game become apparent
