Reminds me of Mundy.

- Mundy: 192cm 89kg
- Brodie: 187cm 79kg

He's giving away 5cm and 10kg at the moment, but if he hits 190cm he'll become a beast.

My other boy for the year is this gun...

image.jpeg

Jarrod Berry
191cm/80kg
DOB: 5/2/98
North Ballarat Rebels/Vic Country
Tall defender

With great dash and physicality, Berry has some special skills as a running tall defender. Because of his range of traits, he can be played on the wing and across half-forward as well, and spent stages of this season in different spots. Berry is tough and hard at the ball, and showed that across Vic Country's carnival as a bottom-ager, when he was awarded All Australian honours. His season was cut short by shoulder surgery.

Jarrod Berry, Will Brodie, Jack Scrimshaw, Sam Powell-Pepper, Noah Hura, Jonty Scharenberg...

That's where I'm at ATM. I think we'll be picking between picks 6 and 10.

I loved the older Scharenberg playing for SA, some say Jonty is better, I haven't seen any of his games so only on reports he sounds exciting. I'm not sure if I'm making it up but Jonty is slightly shorter and more a mid where Matt was a running back. Hopefully the feet aren't a genetic trait though.

He's more of a clearance player too, but is good off both feet.

All yours Boss, just like him is all. I'll be very interested to see what becomes of him this season; at 191cm he was playing as a running third tall defender (ala Robbo), but if he grows he's strong enough to be, and plays like an attacking key defender (ala Chips). Of course, if he stays roughly the same size and builds his tank he could play as a tall mid/utility (ala Gilbo).

He's quite a unique type, but I called Brodie long ago. I'm not greedy.

High performers in their underage year are often under more scrutiny than their fellows and may be criticised if they do not continue on an upward trajectory in their U18 year. Berry has a few technical issues that he needs to work on, but his raw talent and football brain are already acknowledged and recognised by the recruiters. If he can concentrate on his weaknesses now he will be a year ahead of other kids his age with similar issues by the time of the draft. Could be the tall mid we are drooling for.

Might as well ask here. Does anyone have a list of prospective father/sons in the next few years?

Connor Harvey must be only a year or so off drafting age and what I've heard is that he's been getting pretty decent at his footy over the last couple of years.

Mainly lifted from another forum

Stewie Loewe has a few sons playing at Beauy and Hailibury.
Steven Sziller son is apparently pretty decent but is also a keen cricketer.
Brett Voss has a son in the academy apparently.
Milney has a son Tyson. Age?
Harvey has a son, Connor. Age?
There's the Coghlan boys with James leading the pack
Apparently also Spider has a son and hes committed to stkilda if hes up to standard of course,
GT apparently has a son but Thommo didn’t play 100 games
The Peckett XXII that he’s got going down at Karingal.

Definitely on the Berry Bandwagon with Kildonan. Looks the goods and should be around our pick!

My only issue with Berry is where he plays in the end.

Not sure we need another HBFer.

My only question mark too.. if he shows signs of moving into the midfield he would be a bit of x-factor for us and a POD to the soldiers we have already recruited. Plus a bit of mongrel doesn't go astray!

Great intercept mark, very good by foot, good pace...

Just on a few of those. Sam Loewe is more of a cricketer than footballer but goes ok. James Sziller just got cut from Sandy so he is out. Tyson Milne goes ok but would be very doubtful. Conner Harvey is a very ordinary footballer. Now nothing of the rest.

Just like his dad :D

Ticks a lot of boxes which I think our recruiters have been looking for of late.
At the moment if we had to go a comparison, he'd be a mix of Chips and Robbo.

He'd have to be a strong candidate for the Rebels' captaincy too.

As I've said, it'll be very very interesting to see where and how he ends up.

Fair enough. One out of all of those would be good. Two would be exceptional

wafl guns

Sam Petrevski-Seton
179cm/70kg DOB: 19/2/98
Claremont/WA
Midfielder

Sam is easily one of the best footballer going around for his age. growing up football has been everything to sam, he is pure class. earning all aus honours last year as a under ager just shows that. his ability to kick on both sides of his body is outstanding, also seems to have all the time in the world when ball in hand, very smart and fast,He mixes his skill with a hard attack on the ball and some flashiness in the air. last year he craved up the colts for claremont. plays like sam mitchell/scott pendlebury

Noah Hura
186cm,72kg, DOB: 31/1/1998
Peel Thunder
Position: Midfielder

Noah is very talented dont get me wrong. but he always tries to do to much instead of giving off the first option. good skills, he is a very smart footballer. afl academy member. his 18s carnival last year was very scrappy. but found good form in the colts during the end of the season. noah is a quality young footballer and has all the attributes to play afl football in the coming years. plays like dustin martin

Jake Waterman
189cm,84kg, DOB: 6/5/1998
Claremont Tigers
Position: Medium Forward/Midfielder

jake has come along way as he was an average player until about under 16s when he shot onto the scene. jake is a medium forward that plays like a tall. got a lovely set of hands, and is very good infront of goals. played very well in the 18s champs for wa last year. he really hit his straps at the middle to late part of the colts season were he put on a show in a couple games. very lively player.eagles will no doubt pick up jake in this years draft. plays like luke bruest/ jack gunston

Sam Powell-Pepper
188cm,83kg, DOB: 8/1/1998
East Perth Royals
Position: Medium Defender/Midfielder

powell pepper has always been a very good player. a very good leader aswel as he captain the state 16s and the afl academy when they went to NZ. he is a big bodied midfielder the loves a dont argue, sometimes tries to over do things by taking on tackles when he should give first option. skill wise he struggles. his attack on the footy is outstanding also he is very explosive. in the 18s carnival he found quiet abit of the footy but turned it over alot and didnt do much damage with it. pp is someone to watch out for this year. will most likely captain wa this year. plays like dustin martin/josh kennedy

Stanley Wright
176cm,76kg DOB: 18/3/1998
East Perth Royals
Position: Midfield

wright has always been in the lime light. his booming left foot attracts alot of attention. stan always racks up good numbers in the colts. averaging mid 20s. also winning the jack clarke medal. the east perth midfielders is very selfish, does not care about the team one bit only himself. he is a very good player, very good attack and aggression, wright will dominate colts if he plays colts not seniors, has some things to work on but he can defiantly go all the way if he fixes his defaults. plays like daniel rich

Mitchell Dzelebdzic
196cm,90kg DOB: 12/6/1998
South Freo
Position: Forward

big mitch is looking like a big target for wa this year. he has terrific hands, very good below his knees, very good workrate for a full forward. kicked 31 goals in 17 games in the colts last year. him and strnadica will be very good up forward for wa. plays like tom hawkins

Mitchell Dobson
187cm,87kg DOB: 16/3/1998
East Perth Royals
Position: Forward/Midfield

Dobson is a beast. this player probably single handily won east perth games last year. the big bodied forward is very strong and very quick. loves to break the game open by foot. is very good infront of goals. probably the states best half forward. good on both sides of the body. he is very expolsive, doesnt mind going in and getting his own footy. if this young man improves his work rate 10% he will be on every clubs radar, hes got some defaults in his game, like every player does. but im sure he will dominate colts football this year. plays like Patrick Dangerfield/ jack darling

Michael Humble
180cm,83kg DOB: 5/2/1998
Peel Thunder
Position: Midfield

humble is a inside midfielder. he doesnt get any easy ball outside. he is always in and under getting the ball out to his players. winning peels bnf just shows hes a very good player. he is very good inclose and can also go forward and kick a goal or two. he loves to tackle, hard to find someone that loves to tackle. hard working humble is one to look out for this year in the colts. plays like tom mitchell/ dan hannebery
