mundy at his best is criminally under-rated, purely from the fact he's in WA playing for freo. similar to pav when he was at his best
Rubbish. This isn't an "us v them" thing, Gray is just a better player.

Mundy is a big, strong ball magnet; he's a very good footballer, but Gray is a dynamic, dual-threat matchwinner.

Ideally you'd have them both, but if you're picking one only, it's Gray hands down.

Ok, let's say he's under-rated. You still think he's a better player than Gray? The guy dragged Port over the line against us in Round 1 single handedly. He's pretty much everything we hope Billings will be. I would put Robbie Gray in the top 5 players in the comp right now.

and mundy didnt drag his side over the line? he's done so countless times... people have short memories or just dont watch freo enough. at his best he was the 2nd best mid in the comp IMO

Surely if its now its Gray? And even at their best surely Gray's best is better than Mundy's best even though its closer than some think.

right now gray is better than mundy. mundys looking tired and old, but i'd take mundy at his best IMO some of his performances were unbelievable, he's freo's most important player and has been for sometime IMO

Well that maybe true but I think Gray is probably Ports most important player now that's why I rate it as close between the 2. Just like gray's skills a fraction more.

Well now that we've had a great discussion about these 'relics', may we please get back to the fellas we're looking at for the draft this year ;)
http://footyprophet.com/author/paige-cardona/

visit this website goes through all the 2016 prospects from forwards to mids to defenders.

After reading through it seems like Will Setterfield will be an interesting one.
He's a GWS academy boy and would be unlikely to come our way unless we pick up something like a 2nd rounder :(
I just love the fact he's a bit prem at the moment and needs a few years development before he really gets any attention (love an underrated pick).
It would be nice to have P-S and then this fella to provide a bit of height and size in the middle for the future.

Wil Brodie, Jonty Scharenberg, Sam Petrevski-Seton or GTFO

:)

Oh for sure man but if you went this bloke and P-S then you're ticking all the midfield boxes.
Firstly, I'd trade our 2017 1st rounder + something extra for Lachie Whitfield & a 2016 3rd rounder - gives us a pacy & elite disposal outside mid with 4yrs development

I'd then take Wil Brodie if available at our 1st round pick this year - a highly skilled bull midfielder

Greys best is better Mundy is a more consistently damaging player. It's the V8 work horse v the Ferrari who is a bit temperamental but you just know he can do the good stuff when he's on.

Wouldn't matter what picks we had; he'll be off to GWS.

geeze powell pepper had a quiet one. a lazy 25 disposals 5 goal game

petrosvki setton 28 disposals

Liking the even spread at the top of this draft. Brodie, SPS, SPP, Berry, Scharenberg I've heard a few more but haven't seen much of their play. This draft sounds a bit like the 2013 draft with Kelly, Billings, Bont, KK, Scharenberg all being thrown around as possible for any pick after No.1 and Tom Boyd (lol). I'm hoping we can maintain a top 8 pick

Yeh that loss might not be so bad. It's a good year to not go well. SPS was so hyped I can't help wanting him but there are another 5 or so you would be very happy with. I'm not dreaming much but I can see SPS being the Winmar to Paddy's Lockett.

Having watched some of the SA state trials and knowing some of the players in the U18 squad the name I'm hearing is Kym Lebois. Apparently been dominating and is fast strong and has a bit flare about him. Could be a bolter, but even tho he's a bit small would seriously look at him.
