My Florent-Scharenberg 2016 dream is in tatters. Now I know how Bernie Sanders feels... This will be me watching the draft coverage

There is still a chance that one of Simpkin, Florent, Scharenberg, or Berry are available at our pick.

We need genuine speedy wingmen and another backup tall forward so possibly Galluci, Bolton, Parfitt, Villis or Kerr, Battle, Sproule at either of our 1st or 2nd picks.

Having said that if Berry or Logue are available at 23 they are too good to go past!

And at pick 36? Shai Bolton... to West Coast.

As much as I love Scharenberg and think he has good character and compsure etc. it would be silly to pick him over Bolton, especially if you're St Kilda. Fast, agile outside mid/wingman, exactly what we need more of. I would love Galluci at 23 as well, he smashed the combine. You're right though, you never know, look at what the Dogs, Freo and North got last year in the second round. Tucker, Collins, Dunkley, Clarke, Hibberd, Balic, Adams. I would be happy to take any of them at pick 23. I just think Florent's end to the season was too good to slip out of the 1st round when it's so even outside the top 10.

I've looked at a few different ones and it seems that people have vastly different ideas. Just goes to show that maybe this draft IS fairly flat .

Some have Rotham still available, and I think he'd be good for us. ( Possible Dempster replacement).

Bolton? I think he's more outside but he's a good kick and has plenty of athleticism/speed.

Maybe a Harley Bennell lite, or a bit of Lachie Weller with his the agility, speed, side-step. Probably doesn't find it as much as those 2 though and not as good with foot skills, good foot skills just not elite.



Maybe ask Barrel Boy Barrels , he's probably watched a lot more footage of these U18's then most on here.

I think when he gets a little time and space he's a good kick, maybe not elite but good. He's no Nafe Wright I'm going to dare to dream of Jy Simpkin and Ollie Florent being available at 23 for now, otherwise Bolton would be a good get.
