You have just sold me we need spp
I like Powell pepper, think he's a better version of wright. More explosive and xfactor. Hits the pill at pace and can break games open kicking yes a bit iffy but in an afl environment with Lindsay Gilbee he surely improves his kicking, you can improve kicking but not many have what Powell pepper have,

That will mean we need to make 5 list changes before draft. All of Lee, Fisher, Shenton, Eli, Murdoch gone/rookied?

I doubt they (Ameet) would have been so keen to get #61 back from the Doggies if they didnt intent to use it, could have upgraded Holmes with any free pick later in the draft.

if your numbers are correct we should expect those players to be delisted , which is pretty tough particularly on Eli ! If he is I would be confident he will be picked up as a DFA.

What are your impressions of Witherden Barrels?

I can't find any videos on YouTube of him.
There wouldn't be any because he broke his leg early in the season.

Excellent by foot and has good pace, but he's best suited off half back at the moment. Young for his draft year.

What do people think of Jarrod Korewha or how ever you spell it. He seems like a good swingman who has really good run but is KP size. Might be a bit of a Sam Gilbert or Roberton though. His hair would make him a cult hero from day one.
Yuck.

I'd love us to take a flyer on Tom Williamson. 188cm defender/midfielder from North Ballarat who is the youngest of young for the draft year (birthday is 12 December). Quick, a great runner and very good off both feet.

Tested very well at the Combine.

Quentin Narkle any relation to this campaigner?

If so then get him.
Yes. However I am hearing there are issues with his character.

Would pick 1 (Hawthorn's 1st) be too early to take him at next year?
Dont know if he will last to pick 18 which will be our first.

May have to use the No.1 pick

Outside mids, how about Ben Long or Quenton Narkle with our third pick if either are still there? I would like us to pick up Quenton anyway. Phil did not play enough games for us, but that should not stop us picking him.

I like the idea but someone said he's having "issues" could be a guy who given a good environment might flourish. Sometimes being moved away from trouble can make a guy or else it just makes them home sick and ends in tears. At 61 I would love to get a project with a Saints link. He's an indigenous kid with blonde hair, If Panther goes we will be running thin in the cult player department. I would grab him if i was trout.

Don't forget agile. Won the agility test at the combine too.

Did I mention he can jump. Top 10 in all 3 jumps tests.

Apparently great character and a genuine work ethic.

Pick 61 ..... or could we dare take him at 36?

And which one of the Sandy Dragons might we have our eyes on for a later or rookie pick?

Corey Lyons
Hamish Brayshaw
Ari Sakeson
Goy Lok ,,,, ?

I could get behind some Narkle magic.

Lok is a Rookie chance at best I'd say, Swans allegedly very keen on Sakeson, Brayshaw is hard to get a read on and Lyons has a lot of similarities with Answerth; he's not great by foot.

As for Williamson, I get the feeling he's somewhere between 36 and 61...

Having traded two mids and a defender in I think its likely we will have an even spread of recruits. Im going to guess a tall forward at 23, a mid at 36 and a mid sized/rebound defender at 61. This I think gives us the best "chance" of finding another Fisher, another Steven and tall forward depth which we still kind of lack if Lee is delisted.

I think pick 61 will be a wait and see. If they offer more than Templeton/Lee, they'll pounce and delist all 5. They did a similar thing when they drafted Pierce and cut Winmar.

Winmar was Robbo and it happened after the National Draft as a DFA.

If we want to use 61, they need to be cut by the second list lodgement I think.
