In my opinion the last thing weneed is more half back flanks who might be able to transition to the midfield. We have a whole team of them. Need to go out and out midfield talent. I think if there we have to pick one of berry florent (my preferred option but will be gone) spp or at a stretch simpkin/galluci. Then we go needs based with our other picks. Btw did anyone find out who the trade whisperer was?

Somehow trout will land mcluggage at 23 and taranto at 36. Maybe even Logue at 61 to top it off.

And we will all sit back on Nov 26 and say "yep. He's done it again"....

Id be happy to take Rotham if they thought he could become a midfielder, but otherwise it guys like Dylan Clarke, Gallucci, Florent, Ronke, Villis, Fisher genuine mids should be our first priority.

Surely we dont need anymore medium sized back flankers? The more I research the less I like the sound of Berry and SPP but will trust the SUPER TROUT!

Someone like Ridley would be available at our second.

Precisely! Plus they don't mention his skill at delivery, which we are specifically targeting, as well as pace.

PS Tony Sheehan

Trout: Whatdya reckon Bainsy, more Half Back Flankers that can go through the middle?
Bains: What about just midfielders?
Trout: Can they play half back?
Bains: The campaigners at bigfooty reckon we need outside run.
Trout: Those campaigners have made us look good the last 4 years.
Bains: Why don't we just look at the 'who do we pick thread' when we get back from holidays.
Nek Minute, premiership.

Haven't seen too much of Ridley I must confess, Bishop is the man to ask

He's a good player. Should go in the second round somewhere. A rebounding defender who is very composed with ball in hand. Has played forward and on a wing at times as he's capable up forward - but he looks best suited to play HBF. Built strongly below waist, but above is a bit light. Not outstanding one-on-one.

I've watched half of an SPP highlights video, so would consider myself an expert. I reckon he's spent all of his teenage years watching Dustin Martin, he's even got the shit haircut. He obviously has a lot of potential, and if he could live up to it he could be a real weapon, but his kicking and some of his decision making is just awful. I think he'll be a boom or bust recruit, and as others have said we're probably in a position now with our list that we can start looking at those types. He's got that explosiveness that our midfield is missing.

I have cooled majorly on Powell-Pepper.

As much as I love Nathan Wright, I don't really want another one.
Agree.

Two Wrights would make a wrong

Word is that Sydney and Collingwood are into Asher Samelko, who plays in the East Perth reserves. I can vouch for the fact that he is a great kid, but don't know much about his football prowess. Anybody know much about him?

He isn't like wright, more like dustin martin. Recruiters only need to see glimpses of what he can do and no one on our list bar jack Steven can do what he can do, get him in an afl environment and hel excel, watch even if he doesn't go to saints anyone with half decent development coaches will turn that bloke into a genuine gun

KM's first effort is up...

SPP at pick 23 with Cox, Ridley, Gallucci and Bolton gone at picks 19-22 and Isaac Cumming at 36.

Cumming is a 183cm 72kg vanilla half back from the GWS academy; No. Thank. You.

I don't think he wins enough ball to be realistically compared to Dustin Martin.

Looks like a ruck/KPF to me: 22, 195cm 86kg; averaged 11.2 disposals, 9 hitouts, 4.9 marks, 2 tackles and 0.47 goals per game across 21 WAFL Reserves games.

Wouldn't lose any sleep over him.

Everyone has us linked with SPP. Any genuiness to this or just copy catting?

I think his knowledge of our list is limited. We need speed, class, and perhaps some KPP insurance.

This board would make Cherynobl look like world-class holiday destination if we passed on Fisher at 36.

Sandra, but roughly BPA and gives us pace and dynamism in the midfield.

I'd rather someone with better disposal and greater class, but I can see the reasoning behind it.

I may be in the minority, but I don't particularly care for Fisher.

Don't dislike him, but at 175cm 61kg he reminds me a bit of Honeychurch at the Dogs; willing and able, but simply too small to be effective in the same way at AFL level.

Honeychurch is trying to reinvent himself as a small forward to break into the Seniors, and Fisher hasn't showed himself to be a significant goal threat.

He doesn't have the evasiveness of a Gresh either.
