Aiming to get highlights videos of Florent and Cox out, possibly Powell-Pepper as well tonight.

What really impresses me about Cox is how driven he is to succeed, has serious work ethic. Moved to Victoria as he knew playing football in Halls Creek he wasn't going to get the exposure needed to get drafted or the development required to improve himself etc. Also has been waking up at 2am every morning to bake bread in a Vic farming town. Think he'll thrive in a professional environment, definitely has the mindset to make it and we all know he has the talent. Didn't speak English until he was 13 and is now completely fluent.

Sounds like a guy with enormous character.

That and his schooling in Perth would make you consider that he's got his priorities sorted out and he won't have "going home" issues. Not ones that can't be overcome anyway. ( and its not like he can carve out an AFL career near Halls Creek ).

If the Blues get Petrovski-Seton , they'd probably be keen to get Cox with their next pick.

After hearing his story i wish him success wherever he ends up.

Cox left home on his own for the first time when he was 15, for high school in Perth. He was there for three years but felt out of place as soon as he got there, was made to feel even further isolated and in the end didn't like it much at all. "There were some bad times and tough times, at school and outside of school. Some people were pretty racist at school, even (some of) the teachers were like that and I didn't like that. And then outside of school there were fights and things like that, things I didn't want to be a part of," he said. He coped by leaving, and going back to Halls Creek. "Growing up, I didn't know anything about racism, but when I did, I didn't like it."

( my comment .. schools suck, the social system at schools is completely out of touch with normal society ).

WOW! does he ever burn the football?

Yeah he's a beauty but I'm not getting my hopes up that we are any chance. Would be more likely around 8 to 15 I reckon
