Geeze he does look good in that video sequence. Delivers pinpoint passes on both sides of the body, likes to take it on and fend off and seems to have that Matera like ability to jump straight back up after going down, all really good qualities.

Some stats for Eades: played 13 reserves games averaging 13 touches and 2 goals a game. 6 league games @ 9 touches a games and a total of 10 goals.

Certainly works hard when he doesn't have the ball, good chase and tackling skills, really like to harass the player going for the ball and pick a few pockets.

Goal sense looks good, quick and nice foot passing skills inside 50.

So are those highlights league games or reserves?

Definately the small forward type Woosha keeps talking about getting ............... but will we?

You certainly can't say there are no small forwards out there.

Same here. Eades is exactly the lightning silky small forward type we need in the FP.

I'm hoping Eades lasts to our PSD pick (if we delist Hansen), but I doubt he will. It's a shame we only have 3 lives picks in this years draft. Dalziell, Hansen, Bones should have been let go.
Hes 19 so hopefully he lasts

We are in a pretty good position this draft, whoever we pick up Heppel Polec or Gaff im pretty sure most of us will be happy to have that extra gun mid.

It will be like the Judd Ball Hodge thing all great players but one of them might be god mode.

Then who are Swallow and Bennell going to turn out to be?
:D

"The Eagles are believed to be keen on brilliant Victorian midfielder Andrew Gaff"

Lets hope he doesn't cry when he gets drafted to us.

I propose when we get him, slot him into the Peel League and let him dominate in that comp for a year that way he won't come crashing back to Earth after 12 months of playing WAFL.

I personally think a lot of these Victorian recruits who come over here and play in the WAFL get disheartened when they can't stand out and in some cases get owned. I saw it time and time again with American recruits coming to play with the Magic - lose confidence and smooch back home with their tails between their legs.

Shuey will look after him. I also think that Gaff will be exposed to AFL very early on in the season. Can't see him playing too much WAFL next year;)

Gaff doesn't seem like the crying type to me, from my impression of him in interviews and what people say about him I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in the leadership group sooner rather than later.

Just remember last year every one was sure it would be Jetta or Lucas and when Sheppard was mentioned it was like - who?

Although it is only a week out from the Draft, and it was 2 or 3 weeks out last year when we heard we were keen on Shep.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't Gaff, but anything can happen obviously.

Hopefully whoever gets drafted plays early on. Polec definately would as he is already playing SAFL. Heppel and Gaff may not hit the field.

Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Gaff played two games with the Under 18 Aussie team against West Perth and Sydney Reserves and averaged 32 touches in those two matches.

That's a good point. With the draft, late mail is usually the most reliable, and seeing as it's only a week from the draft the fact that its reported that we're keen on Gaff probably indicates that he's our man.

I wonder whether the "go home" factor is still up there in Worsfold thought processes ? if so don't be surprised if he goes with some homegrown talent.
They've said that doesn't come into play with the frst pick, but may with later picks.

Gaff is an uber professional. Completely different outlook on life to someone like Judd who was always 'happy' to go wherever but still very cagey about moving.
