Very happy with him talked to a few mates who have played with him and said he is very hard to defend and a very crafty player. Also listening to people talking about him said he could have THE most potential in the draft.
Worth the punt, hopefully he stays in Melbourne

Mitch Robinson – Happy with him thought he would have been a second round pick, very solid looking player

Rhys O’keeffe – tipped to go higher, could someone tell me more about him?

Caleb Tiller – Don’t know much about, saw a youtube clip, seem okay. Cant expect much that low in the draft, hopefully something happens!

Think we drafted good players but thought we would have gone tall at least once?

Still happy with the overall quality of all 4.:thumbsu:

It seemed like with talent like Robinson and O'keefe available so late, we had no choice regarding going tall. Seems like they were too good to let past, regardless of the type of players they are

Tiller was the tall, it is very hard to go past Mitch and Rhys. We have added a heap of pace and footskills.

We've put a heap of faith in our current backline, which I think it slightly underrated at the moment.

our backline just needs games pumped into them.. paul bower and jamo with a full pre season and will do wonders for the club

"I like it, i like it alot"

I'm still shocked that O'Keeffe got anywhere near that pick TBH. I'm not sure how anyone with his foot skills falls that far. Personally i think he can be much more than just a half-back flanker, especially at 188cm. Also very good to get another leader in the ranks. :thumbsu:

That's the impression I got too.

They're hoping Tiller will grow some more yet.

We don't need talls anyway. Except that we have no young full-forward coming through to replace Fev....Tiller?

That's debatable, the talent is not there unless we are confident Kreuzer will make it a (semi?) permanent forward.

I think some are forgetting we've already secured Robbie Warnock as a tall this year. Looks to me we've bolstered our forward line and have players capable of running off HBF and able to hit targets up the ground..

Exactly what we need, don't you think?

Watching Yarran highlights from the WAFL, he looks like he could step straight in and be that 30-40 goal a year player, taking pressure off Eddie and Fisher which will make us much more dangerous. We're building a very exciting forward line with options...

Go Blues!! Can't wait for '09:thumbsu:

IMO we cleaned up.

I had Yarran at 5.

Robinson at 17.

O'Keefe at 26.

Tiller at 55.

Not sure I've ever been happier with a draft considering our 2nd pick wasn't until 40 I wasn't all that confident.

What's his height? He is still very bottom aged so has a bit of growth left in him you'd think. Can take a mark though.

I wouldn't call Tiller a tall. He's a Half Forward type. Silky skills and beautiful mover. Needs to work on more consistant efforts though. Nice pick up at 79.

Yeah I was just going off how WH called him a KPP so gave the impression he thought Tiller has a bit of development left in him.

I agree, i think we did very well for the picks we had. I had roughly the same with regards to rank though i actually had O'Keeffe in my top 20.

Who misses out if Yarran is in the 22?
I can't say I'm too sure, but you can perhaps understand why we drafted Yarran as we could do with some small/medium size forwards, should be in our starting line-up for round 1 and beyond if fit and good enough.:thumbsu:
Certainly as a supporter I was always going to say I was happy enough with whoever we drafted, but having a look at what we got in selections 40 and 65, I am absolutely stoked, especially when you think they were going to be higher draft selections.:D
This is also a first, as for the first time ever there will be a football player from my favourite club who I actually know in Mitchy Robinson.:) All in all, if the first 3 players we drafted are fit for the majority of the year, they should play some footy next year as they look like some real prospects.:)
