Splendini how do you rate Cook? Perhaps I am overcome with man love but I see this guy in 3-4 years as becoming the perfect leading FF. I really see a lot of Fev in him in the sense that he is quick on the lead and knows how to follow the ball. Needs to work on his strength but that will come.

I also think Mitchell is the perfect big bodied FF in almost the Rocca/Lynch mold to take a mark in the goal square and beat opponents one on one. Again 3-4 years away, but in my view those 2 would complement Hendo, who I see as a lead up CHF.

But then I also think Watson would be a great big bodied FF because of how quickly he reads the play so go figure!

Splendini knows these players, but for the life of me I can't see why the Suns would pick Tape if they want a defender. Quayle might have some mail, yet she tipped Talia for us last year. I don't see Essendon falling for another midget midfielder who AJ would relish tagging. The Bombers need another big mid like someone else noted. I'm getting my hopes up that we might get a Watson or McCarthy, but I expect the one we want to be gone.

18: Watson
34: Mitchell
42: Fasolo

That wouldn't be too much to ask for come tonight.

Cook has a lot of talent, but his last month to six weeks wasn't fantastic...seems to lack a bit of intensity and mongrel needed for the top level. That might come when he adds muscle and strength, skills wise he is right up there. More a chance for 34 than 18 I would think

Tape is only 191cm but competes really well in the air for his size TG.....long arms as well and good closing speed. In his senior debut for Glenelg he had some nice cameos, held his own against two ex-AFL players in Welsh and Hentschell and provides excellent rebound, I'm a big fan.

Tape may have held his own against those two, but do you see him being beaten if we create a mismatch against the likes of Henderson, Kreuzer, Warnock and Hampson deep?

The other clubs would throw talls of that size at Tape...Goldstein, Petrie and Hansen.

Reckon he might be a better fit for full back or as a second tall than the big defender we need.

If Austin is healthy and stands up, then Tape might be a good fit.

TG - tell me about Fasolo. No zero about him.

My ultimate would be:

18 Caddy or Atley
34 Cook
42 Mitchell.

Can see it being more:

18. McCartney
34. Harper
42. Mitchell.

FWIW (and this is less informed than usual - Hughes playing cards pretty close) I would not be a bit surprised to see us take McCarthy if both he and Watson are there at 18. I would, on the other hand, be very surprised if we took Darling

I just fapped.

Thanks for the info.

I was hoping you'd show up. :)

Before it was taken down...

Tigers reveal draft pick?
The page, which listed Conca's key attributes and other various background information, was live on Thursday morning for all to see before being taken down.

The 18-year-old was vice-captain for Western Australia in the U18 Championships where he performed very well despite WA failing to beat any of the other three division one teams.

He was unable to test in running events at the combine because he was on crutches due to an ankle injury, but he excelled at the reflexes test and apparently has done enough to impress the Richmond recruiting staff.

"The club is extremely excited to have Reece at the club and feel he will add to our ever growing band of quality midfielders as well as having significant impact on the group off the field with his strong leadership qualities," Richmond said under the headline What the RFC recruiters say.

Grigg might wish that he had stayed at Carlton if they draft another inside mid who can actually kick.

Such a well run club. :o
