Seems like we have gone for 5 defenders in this draft!

McInnes looks alright at 67 though, and is a really good size at 191cm. Maybe with thoughts of moving him into the midfield.

It would seem like we have also looked to pick defensive minded players.

Mitchell is the one I'm really happy with...

Had injury problems this year but turned up late in the season and smashed them in the GF.. Kicked 5.4 should have kicked 9-10...

Big and strong with beautiful hands and had 5 straight in the 1st half of the GF as well as being a thumping kick...

No doubt drifted because of injury problems but look out when he's fit...

Big, strong, smart and athletic...!

Can't help but wonder whether Hughes would have done things differently at 18 had he known that two rated talls would be around for the second and third picks.

The more I think about it, the more I would have liked to added someone with leg speed or a HBF. 3 Talls in our first 3 picks seems overkill - a CHB wasn't our only weakness.

I have never, ever been one to scream about drafting talls. I'm happy we seem to have addressed that need but I just think we also have some others, like someone else who can run through lines and someone to play across HB. I feel like we had an opportunity to do that after we got Watson and McCarthy. Hindsight is a bitch though and Mitchell was probably the next available at that pick..

I'm not being feral about it, just putting forward my thoughts.
