Height would be the main knock, the highly rated inside mids these days seem to be around the 186-88cm mark with some burst speed..... his disposal is neat but lacks some real punch and hurt factor.

Reminds me of Browne who is around the same height, a strong mark, versatile and a solid character, but hasn't developed after looking good in his first year. Conca doesn't appear to have many AFL "weapons" to get excited about if you watch his highlights. I would hope for something better at 18, but I'm prepared to eat my words if we get Conca. Taking into account our list and the fact Buckley is already signed, I would hope that we even pass on Conca at 33. You can only pick from what's available, but we need someone with more punch if you get my drift.

Prestia would be a good fit with his disposal.

Or a Cripps because our backline and 22 isn't overly quick.

A tall would be a great get there.

seemed to have enough punch to perform well against men at senior WAFL level (some footage of which I have headed my way). Given the talk of more accountability and midfield pressure as the first line of defense, I would have thought a defensive mid and a gut runner and another inside mid might have been on the cards after the departure of Grigg and Hadley. Pass on him at 33??? Brad Lloyd's a fan...that should be good enough for Tarqs at least .

I dare say that Mccarthy will be gone and possibily Watson and maybe even Darling aswell, who could go anywhere. I dont think you guys will pass on Watson if available and if he isnt available and Darling is than you should look to take him.

His height is 191cm and i still think thats tall enough for a KPF. Pavlich only stands at 192, J.Roughead at 193cm. So it shouldnt be to much of a factor. Hes likely to get alot of marks on his chest rather than up in the air, J.Brown like.

There is no chance that either of those options will occur on draft day. Just shows that the Draft Machine is a complete waste of programming skills.

Well someone suggested that Carlton potentially should consider Player X for pick 18, you proceed to post a highlights reel explaining how he is compared to a player we just delisted and hoped we get more for pick 18...

The highlights reel wasn't meant to be a comparison of Conca's football to Browne.

I hope we can get a KPP or an onballer/flanker who is a good kick at 18 and 33. There appear to be some of these types of players around at our picks. Which is fair and possibly more than we could get out of Conca in our structure.

Didn't look outstanding on first inspection, but I haven't seen enough or any games like Splendini, so it's just an opinion. If paid recruiters can get it wrong and bagged by us, I don't see why it was a shot to disagree with Splendini's view. I said I was prepared to eat my words, so I wasn't going Splendini.

KPD that has been impressive at VFL level. Only just outside of the typical draft class age range and unlucky not to have gone last year.

Super athlete, but it remains to be seen if he can be taught awareness, skill and footy smarts. If he was taller would be a top 10 pick with his physical athleticism.

Carl Peterson is the best player going around in the draft.I expect Carlton to pick him but more likely Collingwood will and he will get a premiership around his neck.He can play the game well it's not his fault that both clubs Richmond and Hawthorn failed him.Andrew Krakouer has gotten all this publicity but Peterson is a better player mark my words.
