Can I suggest we take a 'just don't look' approach and get back to discussing the draft. What Lance Whitnall's degenerative knee means in relation to who we choose on Thursday I will thankfully never know.

FMD you struggle don't you. Do you anything about how severe either players injury was or the duration of it?

By the way, everything you've said about Watson has been thrown back in your face, as usual. Quit talking about things you know nothing about.

Oh good point.....

Lance had his knee replaced...

Mcleod hopes he doesnt...

k

thanks...

Back onto the topic....

Athletic machines is what everybody is looking for ... as long as they can play footy....

So what's wrong with a big powerful player who can sprint 20m in under 3 seconds?

And has a cannon for a left foot?

And reads the game brilliantly?

And averages 21 disposals from CHB?

And can trim down to an ideal weight?

And has good leadership qualities?

No upside? WHATEVER!

Reaction speed impacting on their times over 20m would be a large factor in why it is tested in the first place (I assume).

It simulates leads, and I'm sure it is a result which gets closely considered.

Isn't that why they run 3 times and take the best time?

I don't think it does. Two very different cues. While pure reaction time plays a part, being able to effectively read the play and position yourself are big factors both as a forward and defender. In a speed test you're running to a beep. I assume training for it plays a large part in how you react.

Of course, if they do to it thrice, it'll likely minimise the effect of reaction time but I'd still be wary of placing too much emphasis on it.

Yes but apart from having long accurate kicking skills, able to read the game, strong overhead marking ability and good leadership qualities what has he got?????

Is he as athletic as Walker and Hampson, and will he look as good in those footy calendars - these are the key indicators you are overlooking.

Sounds like a shoe in for a top 5. draft pick....

Clubs would kill for a 195 cms player with all those weapons....

Put it this way.. if were interested in him.. ill be praying like Hurley hes already taken by someone else...

Cos Livo tested well too....

Gun TAC footballer was Livo.

Stop bringing up Livingston. He was a forward who Pagan tried to turn into a defender and ultimately ruined his career.

You're not alone. It's a rumour that has spread like wild fire. Luke played either end for Bendigo from what I hear.

Cheers.

There's nothing worse than preaching incorrect information as gospel, but that's all the information I had to go on without researching it.

It's a real shame that he didn't make it.
