Anyone half interested in this years draft, would by now well and truly have a feel for the top end talent and who they'd want at this pick.

A little presumptuous maybe, but again we'll leave McCluggage, McGrath and Ainsworth out of this poll but if for any reason you feel that they may be available, select 'Other' and name your reasons for the choice.

The field of possible selections for the CFC seems to have narrowed, but again, it's possible something else may jump out over the course of the next few days.

Anyway, vote away either for the player you think we'll take, or for the one you want.

I'll be at the cricket.

Keep me up to date.

If we play like we have in the first 2 Tests then I'm tipping you will have plenty of time to log on!!:(

Went Brodie the last two polls but I am now on the Taranto Train. A goal kicking mid with #5, an inside bull to compliment Cripps with #25 then best available with the rest of the picks will = a massive result in a key draft for our rebuild. Then hit next year hard (trade our 2018 1st rd for a top 8 pick + Gibbs for the Crows 1st rd 2017 pick) and target any area we are lacking with a FA or two (but not Fyfe imo, will cost too much $$$ and too early in the rebuild imo for such an expense).

Have gone through the motions of Brodie then Taranto, but now I'm really vibing SPS.
I just think that a player like SPS with all that talent tends to go missing in games. SPS is that special player that explodes for a quarter and kicks a few goals then the next does nothing.
To have such an early pick the type of talent you want to draft is one that dominates games, prolific ball winner, clean disposal, and the last point is he needs to fit in and enhance the list balance.
If it came down to SPS and Tarranto, I would hope the CFC pick Tarranto as he has a higher ceiling and has all the attributes in a draftee a club would want.
He is a MATCH WINNER and he's the player that would want the ball in his hands to win the game when the siren sounds.

SPS would be just amazing and surreal selection , pretty exciting stuff next Friday.
Would love to hear SOS call out Sam number.
This would be a sensational and impactful result for the Blues.

The way Taranto had a breakout patch in the past few games of the season I think they will look at him the way Cripps, Bontempelli and Fyfe all came on in the last few games on the year. Purely speculation. SPS I just think is a bit more of a gamble, we acquired Pickett already and hes a WA boy so the go home factor is there. I'm buying into rumours that Brodie doesn't defend and hasn't got as much growth in him as a Taranto who seems to be more multi dimensional. After weeks of flip flopping I'll say Taranto. Happy with any of them.

I'd be happy with any one of Brodie, SPS or Taranto. If I had to pick one over the others, I'd pick..................... Brodie, but I reckon they'll go SPS for the wow factor. He's got Cyril written all over him and I reckon Bolts will want some of that.

Maybe he feels he already has that with Pickett? Who has been given 33 to wear also.

SPS has that combination of outside silk and inside aggression that will translate very nicely to the AFL.

We might actually have some nice F50 entries in 2017 with SPS, Murphy, Gibbs and Cripps.

I would like to see Petrovski-Seaton in the navy blue. Definitely ticks boxes for us. My only concern is the risk of it going belly up at some point. I don't want to cop the "Matt Rendell" comparisons with this comment but there have been "home-sick" or code of conduct issues with quite a few young WA players in recent years. He does appear to be a great kid in the interviews/articles I have seen and while he is a proud Halls Creek lad I do feel he has a sense of AFL ambition and fair understanding of what is required. It is a massive step for him and a risk for us considering the value a pick 5 has in a rebuild. My vote is with him ... but I am a gambler!

Taranto slightly ahead of SPS

When comparing the two, they have similar attributes that would make them great additions to our list. Both win their own ball, tackle well, see the game unfold in front of them, vision and have strong football IQ.

While SPS is slightly cleaner in his disposal, with more raw speed, Taranto is stronger overhead.

Currently, the biggest difference between these kids, is Taranto has superior scoreboard impact and a greater dual role player.

Ultimately, I don't think SOS will have the final say, that will be left to Gold Goast, who I believe will select one of these guys with pick 4.

Either way we get a very good footballer

As a footnote, if Setterfield was not tied to GWS Academy, I would select him in front of both SPS and Taranto

This is why I like him as well. Wins his own footy, and Yarran like silk on the outside.
