Scrimshaw Bio reads:

QUERY

Scrimshaw can hurt opposition teams when given time and space, but he will need to work hard on improving the contested side of his game – especially if clubs view him as a midfielder.

Hip surgery that ruled him out in 2015, followed by a foot injury he suffered while on tour with the NAB AFL Academy in the United States in January, may also be a cause for concern.

Anyone know how bad the hip and foot injuries were? He seemed to move okay in the 2016 highlights snippets.

Scrimshaw is being seriously considered at our pick 5. McCluggage will be gone before our pick.
Sounds good to me as Scrimshaw is a defender and we are building a team from the back line.

Still cannot believe that Brodie has fallen so far. His stats look average but his game impact was immense? And I loved that sidestep.

Would be very happy with any one of:
Taranto (or Mcluggagge, Ainsworth, McGrath)
Brodie
Scrimshaw
SPS
or even the less likely Hayward

Each offers something we do not have.

Would not surprise me. Can play forward, back and outside mid. Kicking skills are good, which I think will be a prerequisite in this draft. Still reckon on SPS, think he's a Bolton type and is elite, but Scrimshaw isn't far behind.

BRI and GCS won't pass on Hugh. Still reckon he might go #1. Hearing Jobe Watson is a big chance to retire. His head is no longer in it and the Brownlow saga is the final straw. Hugh fills that hole.
If Jobe retires do the Dons need Brodie again?

I bet you we won't take PP if there because Bolts won't want dodge kicks

Interestingly RE all the names being touted as being at the pointy end, there's about 11 of them, so maybe that's why SOS rejected Adelaide's bid of 13 -- maybe he felt that pick was just outside the range of the top prospects

Will definitely draft him based on having previous injuries. Its a pre-requisite at the new look Carlton under SOS.

I can imagine SOS down at the flea market every weekend looking for damaged goods he can pick up for a bargain to fix up.

SPS just makes sense on so many levels. I'd be super surprised if he didn't become a Blue.

Also, question marks on Taranto's leg speed and Scrimshaw's body and ability to move into the midfield.

The combination of Cripps and SPS could be frightening for other clubs in years to come.
Some quality WA boys, that is for sure.

Really hope the rubbish (harsh, but my opinion) of Kerr at 25 is just pure romance, because we could add another quality midfielder at this pick.
