Taranto and Silvagni now there's two good Italian names , SOS will just make it happen I reckon, it just seems right for the Baggers both great young talents and soon be joined by more Silvagni magic.

It's pretty clear he's heard whispers of SPS to Carlton, while the Setterfield / Taranto selection is his personal opinion of who Carlton need.

At this point in time can only go on their junior careers. Troy's possession count was never as high nor had the volume of contested ball, although his DE was better. Troy relied of his quality marking and speed on the outside to gain his possessions, struggled with working on the inside

A few GWS fans seem to think Setterfield will be a bit of a flight risk as he is well settled in Melbourne. If we bid pick 5 on him and they lose picks 15 and 37 it will give them food for thought, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't match. They have a lot of list spots to fill.

In that scenario, I'd rather they did match, and we got a grab at a couple of their other blokes later on (or at least had the talent slide a little as a result).

Taranto? Not a chance. Much, much fitter, and already plays midfield.

Appears to have a fair bit of character and drive, and combined with skill makes him a handy prospect.

I'm warming to SPS.

If SOS backs him in then I'm all for it.

Would be easily top 3 in the draft if not for the indigenous and go home factor.

Clean inside and outside as well as tough and hard in the contest.

I've been big on Brodie for a while but the closer we get to draft day, the more I'm warming to both Taranto and SPS for various reasons.

Ultimately we're in a really good position holding pick 5 - we're going to get a very good footballer.

Just a ruse by our recruiting staff to get them to take SPS @ 4 so we can get Taranto at 5

Whilst SPS is pure silk, I still think he is a gamble and thus would rather take a more reliable midfielder in Brodie or Taranto. The former is a contested possession beast by the sounds of it, whilst Taranto has shown he is seriously potent pushing forward at times to kick a bag.

Am split 50/50 between those two.

SPS is a very special young footballer and I think the most talented in this draft pool. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
It would take a very brave recruiter to pass on such a prodigious talent if available for selection.
Give the lad a season or so to intergrate and get over his injuries niggles and he'll put plenty of bums on seats for whomever selects him.

SPS was just outside 3 seconds in 20meter sprint. Brodie does have a nice burst of speed.
SPS has that rare combo of pace evasiveness and dual sided kicking ability, very special talent.
I can't see SOS passing on him, this kid has been the talk of the recruiting circles for 3 years.
No other player in this draft comes near SPS for natural talent.

Warming to SPS a lot and cooling on Brodie....Taranto still leading it for me.
But then i read phantom drafts and see the playere comparison for SPS as Daniel Wells and that just does sit well, one player i cant stand!
