So what happened with Greeves and NHH? Staggered that they haven't been selected yet tbh.

NHH posted a 6.55 for his 2km time trial, not bad but not good. I still think he can play.

Greeves - perhaps there's a worry about big bodied mids who developed a big bodied mids? The good ones generally didn't pay that way as juniors (e.g. Cripps and his late growth spurt, flanker Bontempelli)

I'd be surprised if they don't get rookied. Tom Burton also missed out and I think he can play.

Not going to go into it on a public board but have posted multiple times on multiple threads that Greeves, NHH and Schubert have some non footy stuff that may see them slide and Cal’s phantom seems to support that. All three have talent to burn.

Both Greeves and NHH have the talent and despite their challenges I’d be surprised if there weren’t a few teams keen to give them an opportunity on a one year rookie deal.

Purely on upside I hope we take NHH at pick 1 today, but from Clarke’s presser it sounds like we may pass and add some train ons for the SSP.

We're adding mature age players to the list. More than half of our list is under the age of 21.

We have given an undertaking for a rookie spot for Robertson and inexplicably Schoenberg and McCrae when we could have looked at them via train on/SSP.

So we have one Cat A spot left and one Cat B spot left. The Cat B spot probably goes to Wes Walley but that’s a different matter.

The numbers still don’t add up for me. You cut/traded 10, picked up 2 in trades (Starc & Young), Drafted 5, added 4 rookie spots which 3 are filled. Therefore I thought you still have 4 left?

Really baffling what the eagles have done this trade period and the draft apart from the Duursma & CDT selections that were well publicized and acknowledged by all.

Eagles were always after pick #9 and surely a deal could have been done to facilitate getting pick #9 with #13+#34 even throwing in Chesser as the steak knives. and could of had Sharp rather than Lindsay

These 2 boys clearly are good enough for AFL (specially when the premiers select 1)

Trading of the 2nd rounder was a farce and just throwing away valuable picks

Some serious questions need to be asked in their post draft analysis you would imagine

Carlton could have traded 11 for 13 and a F2 to WC and then traded 13 and then traded 13 to North for their 2nd and F2 as long as Hawks took Nairn instead of Doveston which is a fair chance given they have Watson on their list.

Carlton get an extra F2 and everyone gets the player they want.
