Apparently Twomey sees Laverde slipping all the way to us at 14? Is that possible?
I can't fathom how it's possible frankly. Personally I'd be ready to kick a few heads if we took Ellis over Laverde.

This is when trades should be allowed on draft night. GWS could offer Melbourne significantly more assets on draft night (as opposed to trade week) if Petracca was available at pick 2.
Nah he's ours [emoji1]I like Duggan, but would definitely prefer Laverde as well.

Flying South for the Spring. So where is Cockatoo going?
You guys have been into Langford for quite a while I hear.....if you don't at 8 then we might pick him at 14.If Laverde is available I would say we would select him. Otherwise Duggan. Become a bit of a Duggan fan of late.

Do they still do the 10-1 countdown or did it get axed because it was bloody stupid?
No they will take Pickett
I would have thought GWS, Geelong West Coast & Richmond at least would be keen on him if he slips (I'm pretty sure someone, maybe Quayle said that they couldn't seem him getting past West Coast but I could be getting him and De Goey mixed up).Apparently Twomey sees Laverde slipping all the way to us at 14? I think the fans may a little next year when Petracca plays more games, though that will be more to do with the positions they play.I really rate McCartin but I just think the Saints will regret passing on Petracca. Would have the makings of a seriously formidable midfield with him in there.

I just think the the draft is so even that teams will priortise which hole they need to fill most a little. In the Saints case they may see it as more beneficial to get a top quality key forward who can have at least two years being mentored by Riewoldt over a midfielder, especially as there are likely to be a few good options available at 21 & 22..
It's a tough one, difficult to pass on a key forward. Either way I'm happy, we either get a very good young key forward or an absolute gun midfielder.
You guys will have a stupid amount of serious midfield talent. If you can't develop that then ill fall off my chair.

Top shelf mids far easier to find than top shelf KPF's.
I'd be taking the big guy every time.

Would work only if forward trading was included.
