The Saints have also flagged their interest in Vic Country midfielder Jye Caldwell, but some rivals believe Bailey Smith is the midfielder in their sights, should they overlook King.

the Saints and Power also seem most likely to bid on Sydney Swans academy prospect Nick Blakey.

There has also been some talk of a possible pick swap that could see GWS move up the draft order and secure Pick 7.

The Giants recently met with Tasmanian Chayce Jones, who appears all but certain to be a top-10 selection, with Adelaide another club keen on the midfielder’s services.

Vic Metro half-forward Zak Butters appears to be one who could jump up on draft night and may be selected inside the early teens. Fremantle is one such club considering Butters, but he could be off the board by then. Bubbly half-forward/wingman Ned McHenry is another who the Dockers have been linked to.
