True. The saints need a genuine mid. A patty Cripps type.
I guess every team does really.
Either way it comes down to is Max King to good to pass up even if you don't necessarily need him.
He could be better than McCartin in his first year, or be the best swing man the game has ever seen

If that is the case, then Smith is the guy you should take as he is arguably better than walsh

It would be funny if the King twins both wound up in Adelaide, Max at Port (5) and Ben at Adelaide (8). Would take care of homesickness insofar as they would be together in the same city. Mum and dad might have to move too

As a Crows fan i think P4 is too much for Rozee, i'd rather get two decent players at 8 & 13, particularly Hately at 8. If Rankine is available at 4 then i say we throw 8 &13 at Saints, but if they didn't take it then i really wouldn't lose any sleep.

Saints might be realising they've got less to bargain with than they think, Crows won't join the party if Rankine isn't there, and Port won't bother either if they call Saints bluff and they end up just taking Max King.

Ben king won't get past Adelaide at 8..or maybe even GWS who rumor is that are looking at at trade with Western Bulldogs may take him then. No way he slips to 10

Apparently the GWS offer wasn’t good enough and rejected by the Bulldogs. They may come back but GWS clearly want to get ahead of the Crows for a specific player.

I wonder who it could be. Also there has been no news whatsoever out of Adelaide's camp re possible pick trading etc for quite some time. I am still of the opinion that Adelaide and GC have come to a deal for one of their high picks but then again that is a gut feel only

Very doubtful. The club has already said we’re not going to part with picks 2 or 3

Like I said, It is a gut feel and remember what clubs say leading up to and then what actually happens can be entirely different as clubs look t o maximise their advantage. GC have put the message out there that it will take a huge offer for them to part with their picks ..ie crows or whoever better stump up

If this isn't simply the Saints going fishing, that'll break open the draft. I imagine Port grab Smith since they're linked so heavily. While the Suns miss out on Rozee, they could offer Max King to the highest bidder and get Hately or Caldwell and another pick or two.

I would think so, can't see Rozee or Smith falling out of the top 7. If Port take Max, I wonder if they'd try trading up for Ben too?

Even though port do need mids, I suppose the opportunity to snare both King twins may be too hard to pass - ie their picks 10 & 15 for crows picks 8 & 21 might be the go if the crows were happy to pass on B King. That would give the c crows picks 10, 13, 15 & 16

You’d want to be careful making suggestions like that, I had a dogs poster lose his mind when I made a comment like that about Rankine.

Youre not wrong though, it would be a risk as he has made it clear his preference would be to stay in Melb.

But as a player better suits ports immediate needs then the Kings.

We have a good record keeping young vic players so don’t mind them taking the risk.

I’m sure they would all prefer to stay at home. Specifically in relation to Bailey Smith Cal Twomey has alluded to it a number of times and the Herald Sun today stated it was ‘Winx’ like odds that Smith will stay in Victoria.

Definitely more than half , I'm a TIGER supporter and member but gee if they pick up two ruckman then they Port might as well be called the Giants
